why would canelo NOT fight at 160 tho when that's his weight class, they both gonna rehydrate to about the same amount, so what is the point of Canelo fighting at 155, when he easily weighs way over 160 on fight night?Canelo is a Middleweight, I see no reason why he cant fight GGG at the proper weight of 160 when he will come to the ring over that anyways...I feel GGG, all these catch weights....fight at the proper weight. Meanwhile Canelo isn't fighting ANYONE in his weight class. fvck it tho....GGG and his team should call they bluff and say he will take the fight at 155 with no rehydration clause and see if they really wit the shxts.

Yes. Canelo can make 160 and the fight should be at 160. However, this is boxing and there's A and B. Canelo is the A. He's the one with millions of PPV sold. He sold over 10 times the amount 97g sold. He has the better resume, the larger fanbase, and he's the biggest draw right now.

Floyd conceded for Oscar, Canelo conceded for Floyd, Manny conceded for Floyd, Cotto conceded for Manny, Oscar conceded for Manny, Timmy conceded for Manny. There are other examples I could give but I m just going on recent events.

So why can't 97g concede for Nelo while he has a terrible resume, and could not even crack 100k on PPV ?

Furthertmore, his team said anybody from 154-160 could get it. They wanted Floyd at 154. I understand the reason is money and notoriety because Floyd was the #1 draw and a cashcow. Now, Nelo is the #1 draw and the cashcow, plus he wants the fight at 155.

Don't spam that MW bs either because the WBC president already said anything above 154 is middleweight.

HBO is a shyt network and that's why I just can't stand them. There's no reason they cannot just get these two in the ring. It's clear cut and dry.

Canelo ain't Floyd or Oscar though. He need to change his name to amarillo, how you gonna be 25 years old scared to fight at your weight to defend your belt, makes no sense.

I think he doesn't care, but it's Oscar calling the shots.

If he gets stripped of his WBC belt we gonna have to call him Cayellow

prolly from before u was born bruh. Canelo aint Floyd if I was GGG I wouldn't give into that weak demand either. Canelo talkin bout GGG aint fightin nobody and that's because most the people in his division is duckin him. But at the same time, Canelo don't wanna fight this man at the weight class he got the belt at. Aint no need for that 155 catchweight shxt for that fight. I also feel like if GGG cant get Canelo to step in the ring, then its time for him to take a challenge and move up a division where others like Andre Ward have called him out. Ive watched enough boxing since '88 to know that its all fvcked up now. A lot of solid fighters that's going around each other.

GGG too strong for the comp at 160 he should've been moved up, forget Ward, He need to stop ducking that fade from James DeGale before we even start talking about Ward.

yea, its time for bruh to move up. Cant keep fight these fringe contenders waiting around. Canelo gonna string em along for another 2 years. All the greats took a challenge and moved up. GGG need a better promoter, k2 or whoever promote him aint got the juice obviously to make these big fights happen for em.

Golovkin and Sanchez believe Canelo and his promoter, Golden Boy, are running scared from the Öght by demanding a catch-weight of 155-pounds.

Golovkin is refusing to fight at anything less than the division limit of 160. Golovkin has called Canelo 'a businessman' who selects smaller opponents to fight, while Sanchez called him a 'diva' and claims the Mexican public will turn on him if he avoids a fight with GGG.

Should Canelo win in two weeks, the WBC has ordered him to fight Golovkin in the fall. If he refuses, then Canelo will be stripped and Golovkin will be elevated to the status of full champion. Canelo is confident that his own resume is head and shoulders above the opponents who were beaten by Golovkin.

"[Golovkin] can say what he wants. I really don't pay attention. But after his performance on Saturday and the kind of opponent he had - it's of less importance. At 25-years-old, I've faced so many world champions and ex-world champions. I think that speaks for itself and I really don't give anything Golovkin says any importance,"

Canelo explained. "I don't know where Sanchez's claim of fans turning on me is coming from, it really has no merit, especially after the opponent that Golovkin faced on Saturday."

little g and ron jeremy mighta talked their way out the fight for good. canelo was actually being respectful after the cotto fight. saying it would happen for sure. but now it looks like they blew their shot. don't bite the hand than can feed you

#CaneloCartel:CaneLOL:
After taking the cotto and Floyd fights he's always good in my book . He could of stayed away until Floyd left or avoided cotto and he's young as fukk and bounced back from losing to Floyd ! At this point the media sees GGG As the new pacman so humble he can do no wrong and all his opponents are in the wrong. Sad that Canelo gonna have to give in if he feels like punking GGG as the media is never gonna call out his resume

exactly....Canelo talking about GGG competition, but he is calling out Canelo, who is better competition, and Canelo is acting like GGG doesn't matter. How can GGG fight better competition if the elite comp he is calling out wont fight him. GGG aint good enough for Canelo to consider, but little ol Manny Pacquiao is. Canelo talkin that bullshxt.....fight the man at the proper weight or shut the fvck up fr
He fought Floyd and cotto breh . Who has GGG fought that is even close :usure:
Irregardless of GGG's teams double standards & contradictions...i want to see these muthafukkas fight at full strength...no weight drain excuses or nunna that shyt...if Canelo has been struggling for the past few years at making 154...160 should be no problem whatsoever...fukk all this politickin...if this fight doesn't happen soely because Canelo doesn't want to fight at a weight he can easily make...that's all on him

:martin: @ "fans" on both sides co-signing a continuation of this catchweight bullshyt in the sport.
I feel like neggin you for trying to blame Canelo . When GGG out finding excuses not to fight anyone ward degale, paralyzed paul Williams whoever . GGG is always saying he'll fight guys that aren't options like oh yes I'll fight Floyd :stopitslime: I'll fight manny :francis: etc nicca how about you fight the guys who actually are active

He's not Floyd or Oscar but he's still the man at the moment . GGG resume in both fights and ppv numbers aren't close . He's living off hype

NOBODY. What u askng aint got shxt to do wit what im sayin. Canelo has the better resume, True. But everybody also knows that the top names in that division keep making excuses for not fighting this man and Canelo is one of them. Caneo talkin about GGG aint fought nobody, then he should answer that challenge and be that SOMEBODY that fights him. I like Canelo and i like GGG but nobody knows how good he is because he aint fought nobody with an elite skill set yet. if he cant get Canelo, its time for Triple GGG to either call Canelos bluff and fight at 155 catchweight or move up and challenge himself.

he's the man only because boxing media says so not by anything he's done. What does that have to do with a the 155, I didn't say he shouldn't be paid more.

Canelo is the middleweight champion, he gonna fight or give up the belt, he want to be the middleweight champion then fight him. Simple as that.

All these excuses are laughable, of course he would make the cut to fight Floyd, he knows he will lose but a loss to floyd won't damage his reputation, plus Floyd is old and smaller so he won't be at a disadantage, if he go down to 155 and get out classed by canelo it's a wrap for his career. Canelo is his same size but he is younger, so he can cut without any problems, GGG will lose something from the cut due to his age, and Canelo will have the advantage.

Stop making excuses for Canelo being a chum in this situation, if you can all out GGG for ducking 168 you gotta call out Canelo for being a 25 year old champion scared to fight, this shyt ain't never happened in boxing

I've said this about 100 times already and I'll say it again. I have no problem with going up and giving someone the beats but right now, the money is in unifying the title. This shyt gone look real funny if Canelo willingly gets strips in a couple of weeks.
