Golovkin and Sanchez believe Canelo and his promoter, Golden Boy, are running scared from the Öght by demanding a catch-weight of 155-pounds.

Golovkin is refusing to fight at anything less than the division limit of 160. Golovkin has called Canelo 'a businessman' who selects smaller opponents to fight, while Sanchez called him a 'diva' and claims the Mexican public will turn on him if he avoids a fight with GGG.

Should Canelo win in two weeks, the WBC has ordered him to fight Golovkin in the fall. If he refuses, then Canelo will be stripped and Golovkin will be elevated to the status of full champion. Canelo is confident that his own resume is head and shoulders above the opponents who were beaten by Golovkin.

"[Golovkin] can say what he wants. I really don't pay attention. But after his performance on Saturday and the kind of opponent he had - it's of less importance. At 25-years-old, I've faced so many world champions and ex-world champions. I think that speaks for itself and I really don't give anything Golovkin says any importance,"

Canelo explained. "I don't know where Sanchez's claim of fans turning on me is coming from, it really has no merit, especially after the opponent that Golovkin faced on Saturday."

I used to want him to but I'm starting to feel like he's running from the fight. GGG has said many times that he wants the fight. Muhfukka went as far as saying that he wants his belt. But I can't remember Canelo just flat out saying that he wants the fight. There's always a stipulation.

Exactly

Dude never acts like he'll give out that work, instead he sounds like he wants to any type of work coming his way.

All he gotta do is give fans a time table for the fight and the media will lay off. If he knows he ain't gonna fight dude this year, just say so and suggest May 2017 and let that run it's course. I don't think Canelo is ducking him. He's just getting his money, but he comes across like he wants no parts of dude and fans are starting to notice.
