Can't help but wonder how Showtime/Mayweather will respond to this one. Arum and GB played Chess with this one, and it was good move, at least temporarily. It's certain Mayweather and Pac isn't happening in May now. People talking about that's the only way Mayweather can equalize Canelo fighting on that same weekend. However Arum isn't going to allow Pac to fight on that same weekend. Mayweather is azzed out on this one. He could go to the UK and fight Khan or Brook. Considering the hour difference, that fight would be on in the afternoon here in North America, but I don't envision it doing big numbers.

On another note, De La Hoya just exposed his own skirt and how bad Richard and his own drug problem have isolated GB. They're running back to Arum like an ungrateful bedwench who finally saw the error of her ways. Arum notoriously holds grudges and this plays right into his ego. Meanwhile Haymon in the past few days has signed at least three fighters, two from Europe. 2015 gonna be interesting.

hell no it aint no 1-2 fights, more than likely more than 5 which means hbo got him wrapped up for a few years.

i think more importantly it shows, canelo will be fighting on either cinco de mayo (may) or mexican independence weekend (sept). hbo is gonna go to bat for him to fight on them dates. canelo-ggg or canelo-chavez jr will happen in 2015-16, just WATCH!

I'm American breh, and I'm going off of the Froch/Groves fight which was a huge success. I came home at like 1:30pm and forgot about that fight, just happened to be flipping channels and came across it. Granted there were other reasons why that fight sold so much, those in the know, know what I mean . Still, they sold around 900,000 PPVs, with a gate at 80,000. Other than Pac, who else can Floyd fight and draw interest? Khan is likely going to be next, and in the UK.

You do realise the pound is much stronger than the dollar right? Even if it was showing early in the states, it would hit at least 500k buys at $75, add onto that about 1million UK buys at £20 ($33) AND a 90,000 live gate.
