Netflix think they slick, we all know why they don't go past three seasons for most shows.

That part. And this article explains more: The Slow Death of Hollywood
This is just a long complaint about the entertainment industry changing. A show is not owed more seasons just because it was good in the past. It has to make $ now, I doubt Netflix would cancel a show that still has a lot of viewers that it justified increasing everyone who works on the show's salary. It's just math, if it's not worth making it why make it?
And making it to syndication isn't a thing for them because their not licensing their originals out.
And the complaint about a movie like Back to the Future not being made is bullshyt in Netflix case. They make content for many different demos that are risky and not on their face a money maker.

I thought it was a bold finale. The team was taking major Ls by the end that MacClaren had to reset the whole mission. :dead: A fourth season would have had a whole new cast.

The whole World Trade Center scene was dope as fukk. It was up there with Picard borg cliffhanger, or Lost season 3 opener showing the crash again.

This is what killed Lost. That could've been GOAT show if they weren't basically throwing shyt against a wall in the final two seasons

:gucci:

They were throwing shyt at the wall from day 1.

It just became obvious in later seasons because the pay offs never happened.

As far as the thread, as long as there is a definitive ending then it kinda doesn't matter when a show ends. Worst case scenario the fans are left wanting more. Which is still better than going on too long and people wondering why the show is still airing.

Is the crown safe ?
They definitely have a fourth season coming and were able to complete filming before the pandemic. Season 5 filming is delayed however won't be out until 2022.
Netflix's The Crown: 10 Quick Things We Know About Season 4

The Crown Season 5, Featuring Latest Cast Change, Won't Debut Until 2022

So 5 seasons at least of the Crown, probably because it is still popular and gets an adequate amount of views AND they change the cast every couple of seasons so no actors are getting debilitating raises.

IMO 4-5 seasons is a healthy amount. I don't need a long runner since most shows go doodoo after 5. I only get tight when a show gets clapped on a crazy cliffhanger like Angel or Dark Matter :mjcry:

Things will be fine as long as Netflix formats for a 1-3 season run or a mini/limited series style.

I actually can't envision Angel continuing after that in retrospect. shyt was a perfect way to go out

I must be the opposite because I prefer more seasons generally and I'm continually frustrated at so many shows I really like getting cancelled, especially when they're starting to get really good.
