I think international basketball is gonna start looking like international soccer real soon. The days of the US just outright dominating are over. We'll still be the favorite just like Germany is right now looked at as the strongest team in world soccer. But there will be 2-3 countries each year that can hang with us and outright beat us.

Currently I think Canada and Australia are the biggest threats to us in the future since they have a couple of young budding superstars in Andrew Wiggins, RJ Barrett, Ben Simmons, and Thon Maker. As well as a number of good role player types that have played in the NBA for a long time.

The era of overwhelming domination by USA basketball is over.

Five-star prospect R.J. Barrett, the No. 1 player in the Class of 2019, delivered a monster performance Saturday as Canada shocked the United States in the semifinals of the FIBA U19 World Cup in Cairo, Egypt.

The Montverde Academy standout scored 38 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and dished out five assists to eliminate the John Calipari-coached USA squad and end its run at a third consecutive U19 gold medal.
