i used to live near jane and finch... never once felt in danger. its not a scary place unless you are from switzerland... actually i had a roomate from there and even he wasn't scared.

it was actually funny listening to white girls laugh at these wannabe gangsters.

i hope they all get shipped off to haiti or jamaica

canada is the perfect example of trying too hard.

at least london brothas have their own style

and i love toronto

living near and living in jane and finch is different, you can live in vaughan and be 5 min from jane and finch ala me but my area is surrounded by million dollar houses. if you go to york university and live on dorms technically you are "near jane and finch"

I've done some intern work at 31 division and at the Ont court of justice and finch near weston in the past and the reported crime in that area is :mindblown:, just because you may not see all the guns picked up,, assaults, sexual assaults, break ins reported your mind gets skewed if its not happening to you. PLus I would say 30% of crime in that area is not even reported for fear of safety.

TAVIS has cleaned it up a little but its still not all fun and games :shaq:

I don't know these guys are "wannabe gangsters", considering most of murders go unsolved in 31 division alot of murderers are still living in that same area roaming the street, selling drugs, committing assaults etc. Who cares about white girls living in their safe havens

American "ghettos" are terrible because the US likes to dump everyone together...whereas the Canadian model (at least in Toronto) is to mix all the groups together. Imagine if we took all the "ghetto" areas of Toronto and put them in one area? Sh1t would be terrible but more like an American city.

Here you will have multi million dollar houses next to government housing. Regent Park is next to multi-million dollar mansions.

So...it kinda explaisn why Americans come here and say "Oh things aren't that bad"...the density in our bad areas is nowhere near that of the US bad areas like...Chicago. I never understood why they did this. How can you make it out of the "ghetto" if that's all you're exposed to? Systemic way to keep the poor...poor. But these clowns eat it up and even pump their chests. Such a lost group.

this is true, i mean most of all the houses that tchc owns are worth like 600k a pop because of the areas they are in, even in scarborough the metro housing complexes are surrouned by like 400-500k bungalows etc., and are not all thrown together.

I know at one point years ago don't know if they still do this they would rent out apartments in regular buildings and no one would know they were metro housing, i actually thought that was a good model.

I know the community housing in thornhill (glen shields and dufferin) is nice as hell even though everyone knows its community housing, same with the one in richmond hill

dufferin and clark - Google Maps
