Of course the ATL
if it was 5-0 hillbilly conference you know good and well you'd cite that showing your dominance :unimpressed:

The SEC has historically been the best conference for the past 20+ years. Bowl records, championship, overall depth of the conference. We don’t even need to boast anymore brethren we already won

I think Texas, OU, Georgia and Bama will be fine because of how wealthy their bag men are and Alabama wanna keep up. The rest of the conference. :hubie:
(Would include A&M, but they can’t get out of their own way)
2 of the 4 teams you mentioned were wealthy when it came to "bag men" and now not so much when it comes to NIL. There is a big difference. Also no reason to leave out Auburn, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. All three have well funded NIL collectives.

My main point is those schools don’t have the wealthy alum base as the northern schools.

if by the SEC, you mean Nick Saban then sure and he did so largely by paying under the table.

Having a wealthy alum base ≠ adequate NIL funding, it is not a safe assumption that wealthy donors are even giving to NIL. Also in some cases, as we've seen, it only takes one guy. There is a lot of variance to NIL from school to school. I wouldn't say northern schools have any sort of advantage.

They don't. 7 of the top 10 recruiting classes this upcoming season are SEC schools.

One thing is for sure, if they don't get NIL under some type of regulation, cfb is going to be ruined. 2020 - 2023 NIL isnt what it is now

The thing ppl love(d) about cfb. Pageantry, tradition, history....doesn’t mean squat to these young kids. It's about the money. If you are a fan who followed recruiting and liked to look forward to how a freshman recruiting class would grow over the next few years into a great team, that's no more.

Players committing out of high school now doesn't mean anything, they can be getting poached by other schools day 1 and be gone less than 1 calendar year later.

And that doesn't mean anything, honestly. Many of those kids can & will be gone next year.

I saw a report yesterday Quinn Ewers was offered $6 million dollars to transfer next year. Not sure how true thar is, but if so it's insane.

IMO, if you transfer and sign NIL you should have to sign a 2 year agreement. As long as you have eligibility.

It was all good a week ago when a Scat Pack Charger and a few dollars were enough to secure the best talent. Now the market is open and they're learning car dealerships can't compete with billionaires.
