When I say Karma, I don't mean the original eastern meaning that everything has consequences. I mean the b*stardized western New Age hippie idea that there is a 24/7 Santa Claus who rights all wrongs and punishes the sinful in some mysterious way. Evil has gone unchecked for millennia and good innocent people have suffered since the dawn of time.

This idea of some universal balancer is nothing more than a comforting ducktale, and a way for people to come to terms with the overt wickedness we see in the world, that one day it will be avenged.

Even worse is the reverse engineering of New Age Karma; when someone faced some real misfortune people's response is "Well they must have deserved it - Karma". There's few things worse than people explaining the world and referring to Karma.

Time to kick Karma to the bushes!

Most people when discussing Karma think of some sort of revenge being exacted by the universe or "god" when that's not really what it's about at all. Karma is self 'inflicted' for lack of a better word...it's a feedback loop, not a punishment.

This. Karma means action, everything you do comes back to you. Time is an illusion the past, present, and future is all happening simetaneously.

And for there to be good, thete must be evil, and for there to be evil, there must be good. You can't have one without the other. How the universe is set up.

all of this is new age fallacy. time is illusion? even if it was, it wouldn't have anything to do with karma being real or not.

The 'universe always has opposites' idea, is also false. Just because 1 thing exists doesn't automatically mean there is an equal and opposite to it in the universe. This is just another perversion of scientific theories by spiritualists. Whats the opposite of a green bmw then?

There is no absolute morality in the universe, and the universe doesn't right wrongs.
