Can we all admit that Notorious (movie) was a complete embarrassment?

The lack of budget for good actors definitely hurt it, and it was obviously fabricated.. but I found it entertaining. I'll watch it anytime it's on TV.. wasn't any worse than Get Rich or Die Trying, which I also enjoyed despite it's flaws

They see me trolling, they hating.....
Cease was pretty young when he was in Junior Mafia running with B.I.G so they did have to make it look that way somehow.

In 95 when Junior Mafia released his debut album...Lil Cease was only 16....when he did the players anthem video and rap appearances.

So that means on Biggie's come up before his deal in 92-93 ---Cease was 13-14....

Even at 13,14 Cease ain't never look like a 13/14 yr old tho

Cease during Junir Mafia LP could have passed for someone in their 20s. The kid playing him in the movie couldn't

Came in here to say exactly this. Anthony Mackie is a good actor and did what he could with the relatively weak material given him. It would be damn near impossible to portray not only a character as dynamic as Pac, but also how complex his relationship with Biggie was, especially since the movie was about Biggie himself and not Pac

I thought he did a good job in the shooting scene,he wuz intense:ohhh:....the problem came in the scenes where he had to play Pac just joking around,he's obviously just not a naturally cool dude like that so it came off as a square nikka tryna be cool..

It was good for what it was - I will usually watch when they show it on VH1 or something. The actresses they got for Lil Kim and Faith were bad as f----

I think some of you are being too harsh. That film made me nostalgic as hell for that era and the music. It occured to me that it was probably the only biopic I've seen where I had memory of and had closely been following the events at the time.

Tbf, premier was the one who said he said that in the vibe book on biggie years ago

This.

I applaud this film for including many realities that actually happened. Yea, some of it may come off corny but its real life. People who dont know otherwise are going off the movie alone thinking ideas/scenes were Hollywood when in reality thats the way things went down.

One thing I remember was the B.I.G. / Mack idea Puffy had for Bad Boy. Many dudes in the theater was :heh: at the idea yet they never saw:

:whoo:

It wasnt perfect but then who is good at emulating life while keeping it 100% esp. considering the star of the show is passed?

To be real next to the Jackson 5/GRODT/8 Mile this is one of best African American Biopics hands down. :salute:
