PS2 was the last console that was consistent with great music not just RPGs but fighters as well. The Budokai series, Tekken series, etc.
Nah the Sonic Series had the best music

Outside of that, the 8bit chip tune was a nice sound, so much that it has its own dedicated genre now.
But there was something about that Genesis Audio chip that had their tunes sounding
