Can Villains truly be redeemed?

Yeah, I kind of agree here. I thought she firmly established herself with the Para-demon attack on Gotham but her sympathetic backstory will always be a way to keep her from being evil. She was literally in on the heists but didn't like her cut. Sympathy is overused for a number female villains where no matter what havoc they cause the story goes out of their way to get you to feel for them and pin their actions on an event they suffered. Steven Universe villains were genocidal planet colonizers and they got redeemed with talk no jutsu.

Mags is a villain. The X-Men didn't spend decades fighting him because his powers became misaligned or something. He gets pissed at humans and decides that he wants to destroy cities and continents which contains the mutants that he claims to love so much. The confusion comes from the xmen taking him back when convenient.

Kinda like Goku throwing Cell a senzu bean? Or him allowing Frieza to power up to 100%? Or him letting the fate of the world rest in the hands of an 11 year old? Gohan is a millennial disappointment, he doesn't bear mentioning. Fact is, guys who only care about fighting the strongest only save Earth because its there, not that they give af. Goku's character in the manga ain't a hero of justice, he literally just wants to fight strong guys. Not too mention him telling Krillin to let Vegeta live in the first place!
