All year long, when it came to the Kings, all I heard was how Sabonis was the engine of their team, everything ran through him and he was the key to their offense. I better not hear that shyt going forward. Fox is so far and away their best player it's not even funny.

Great :mjpls: Hype

I admitted I was a boxscore warrior in my original post 2 days ago lmao work schedule has me all fukked up.... but even still take away Pooles 22pts and the dubs lose... they need him to score...die by the gun. Warriors lose by 10 if kerr continued to play Poole only 16min off the bench

Not exactly my brotha.

I'm not here to dump on JP (I've done that enough this year), but if you take a look all the way to the right of that trusty boxscore, you'll see a -1 under +/-.

That means the Dubs would have GAINED a net point without his contribution today.

:francis:

But it wasn't a bad game for the kid. Just average JP, I'd say.

I don’t get the Poole hate at all. He makes some dumb turnovers but so does everyone else on the warriors. He a walking bucket majority of the time

It's true. He is a bucket, most the time. And Dray and Steph turn the ball over as much as anyone.

But Jordan takes the worst qualities of Steph, Klay, and Dray and expresses them in an immature, annoying way.

He takes heat checks like Steph from 30"...but when someone ELSE gets hot.

He complains about calls like Dray after every play...but gets his lightskin ass T'd up for saying a peep to the refs.

He celebrates hitting a big 3 like Klay...but when we're still down 10.

And worst of all, he's a damn ballerina on defense. It's the most atrocious thing you'll ever see.

But when he's on fire from deep, or attacking the basket, he can really fill it up.

To put it plainly - he doesn't play in a winning manner.

The turnovers the Warriors have are a byproduct of all the ball and player movement, but Poole turns over the ball because he falls over while dribbling in ISO. He's shooting 20% from behind the arc over the first three games of the playoffs, but still acts like he can shoot like Steph and Klay. He legitimately might be the worst guard on the defensive end in the entire league. He can't stick to the principles of the system for more than one possession, so when he does score it's at the sacrifice of the rhythm of the team. He has all the skills but none of the nuance and BBIQ of what makes the Warriors great, and it's the reason why he kills their momentum more than any other player.

He's basically a fan fiction version of a Warriors player; someone who you might see scored 20 points in the box score but was their worst player.

Play Gary Payton for 30min as a defensive specialist and still lose brehs... play Jordan Poole the defensive liability for more than 16min watch him make up the point deferential of the first two games we lost brehs.... ima make some people mad especially since im watching the box score.. but the lock down D of GP is not enough to win... you still need fire power. And when curry is off the team is fukked. There's a slim chance Curry, Klay, Wiggins and Poole will all be off. Play your gunners if you got em. Warriors became famous and successful for a video game like offense.. to try to be anything else right now is foolish

How reliable is that +/- stuff? Let me ask you who would've scored those 22pts? Surely Gary Payton or Draymond Green :troll:

If you play Jordan Poole 16min and he scores 8 pts like in game 2.... who makes up for the other 14 pts?

Gotta make sure to clarify lol. And still No one is telling me where the extra pts come from if they don't play Poole.... GP was min heavy in game 1 and 2 and Poole minutes was light because he can't play defense.. games 3 and 4 Poole got more minutes and the dubs win. Its a simple substitute buckets for stops... they just have to bank on Poole to score ... if draymomd starts the next game and Poole doesn't get at least 25min we are losing

It's not reliable for a single game tbh. Over time it tells a more accurate story.

:manny:

But your boxscore logic is nasty work my brotha. The game is not played on a computer.

Points can come from anywhere, if you have capable players. In our case, probably Klay, Wigs, Donte, or Steph.

But you're narrow-focused on "points scored", in a simplistic way - and that's why so many people get bamboozled by players like Poole, while undervaluing players like Dray and Kevon. Basketball is offense AND defense AND intangibles. Either one can win you games.

If you score 30, but give up 35 - you're a loser. If you score 8, and give up 6 - you're a winner.

Scoring 15 points is much better than scoring 30 if it's on 5 of 7 shooting, rather than 15-35 shooting. "Total points scored" alone tells you almost nothing.

I've seen every Dubs game JP has played. It's obvious to anyone who watches, rather than read boxscores.

Ask a knowledgeable basketball fan, who's more important to Warriors winning. Jordan and his 20ppg or Draymond and his 8ppg. Or even Jordan 20ppg vs Kevon 7ppg.

So why they didn't get those points in game 1 and 2?

I watched all last season. When Curry was out and when klay was out Poole held it down.. other players did good as well but they won alot of those games due to Jordan Poole. I hear what you're saying but at the same time are you telling me the Warriors still win the last 2 games if they played Jordan Poole the same way they did in the first 2 games? Off the bench and for 16min?

We can say anything, that won't make it true. Maybe they win, maybe they lose.

Basketball is a team sport and no single player wins or loses games.

I'm going by the eye test.

Jordan did ball out in place of Steph last year. And he does play better as a starter than off the bench. So there's that.
