I think you're missing the point of WHY Luck has to do more. It's more out of cause and effect than more responsibility put on the guy. He HAS to throw more because his turnovers put them in a position where he MUST throw the ball. Arians is the same dude that brought Big Ben along and he gave Bettis TONS of carries regardless of how effective Bettis was because as far as planning against a defense a good running game is equal to a coach's commitment to running the ball. Arians is committed to running the ball, but getting behind puts them in a hole.

Willie Parker's career high in carries was 337 the year before Arians took over as OC. Ken Wisenhunt was the OC then. When Arians took over Parker's carries went down each year and he only went over 300 once.

Mendenhall went over 300 carries one out of three seasons with Arians as the OC and he didn't barely average 3, he averaged 3.9 YPC that season. You're just making shyt up for the fun of it.


Even if any of this stuff you're posting about the Steelers was somehow true, the nonsense you've been saying about Indy's offense this year is false. Luck is top 5 in attempts this year cause Arians likes chucking the ball down the field. This whole theory that Arians wants to pound the ball, but is unable to cause of Luck...and then Indy is forced to pass all game because of turnovers is amazing. ALL offense is built on deception. If it wasn't deceptive no one would ever score. Play action pass is deception. Screens are deceptions. Bootlegs are deception. The most basic pass plays in football are built to pull defenders away from the intended target by giving them a decoy. That's deception.

RG3 has to read defenses on 3 and sometimes 4 separate concepts in the same play. He can run, hand off, throw a screen or throw into the secondary. He's smart enough to handle reading the defenses on all of those reads all while the play is going on so the coaches are using his intellect and ability to make a quick decision against the defense. RG3 has WAY more responsibility in his system than Luck has in his system. The coaches tell Luck if it's going to be run vs pass then he has to read the defense meanwhile RG3 has to choose run vs pass vs screen in the second after the ball is snapped then adjust after that.
