I came across this YouTube short clip recently:

I couldn't help but to notice the music......black genocide music....black murder music.

This is a clip of some dudes playing football in their backyard but the music chosen was about killing and using dracos.

The uploader of this clip is obviously a young person who literally knows nothing other than rap about shooting, robbing and killing....I can't even blame the uploader because it's all he knows.... people his age can't even fathom non-offensive "fun" rap music.

The default setting for rap has become all the worse stereotypes of a group of people imaginable.

Rap music is one of the worst things to ever happen to black people as a collective.....it has absolutely DESTROYED our image/reputation on a global scale.

Dudes in here already talking about "there's bigger fish to fry"..... .no there isn't.

No other group of men would come in a thread like this and say that there's bigger fish to fry than protecting their own image/reputation.

IDF soldiers on camera pissing on dead Palestinians yet the image of Israeli citizens remains intact :unimpressed:

Yet Arabs and Afghans are damn near interchangeable with terrorists

Safe to say whatever narrative is directed towards a people will stick regardless of what image they project. Because racism :unimpressed:

This little diatribe is negated by the fact that the music being put out is actually FUELING the violence.

Drill music is nothing but thinly veiled messages sent out between rival gangs.

You talk as if people from low income communities are somehow predisposed to violence. This is far from the truth. Lil Durk, to give a recent example, is a millionaire who is still orchestrating hits in the streets.

Chief Keef while being an early influencer of drill has completely removed himself from the street level politics. These guys literally choose to push this content that encourages violence in black communities. A lot of youth are perked out and zombified against a backdrop of morbid music that literally tells them to go out and catch 'opps'.

That's the point. No other genre of music has its artist out encouraging violence in their communities.
You just disproved your own point

Keef and durk both come from the streets. They didn't start being criminals because of rap music, but being rappers allowed them the level of fame and income they receive today

Keef had to physically remove himself from the Chicago streets he knew for his whole life to escape the fukkery that durk has continued to associate with.

Now ask yourself what Keef would have done had he not been a rich and famous rapper?

And Durk's list mugshots are so extensive that they can form a time lapse of his life. He was in and out the system before rap, but his current crimes are somehow hip hop's fault? :dahell:

You do realize there is crime committed everyday by a majority of people who aren't rappers or even listen to rap. How are we still having this conversation about rap when it clearly is bigger than music.

Pastor is right

Like i said before reggie wright jr said on his podcast that it was either Pac or Snoop had a lyric in song specifically saying jewish woman and the label interscope was like:whoa::camby: you have to remove that from the record

However everything else about shooting nikkas and ghetto bytches( which we know refer to sisters) that was ok to say
@Wild self One of the most underrated Pac songs

This is true hip hop right here. They didn't mix it well but ridiculous bars

Yeah, just like how Scorsese films are poison to the Italian community.
Or how Yakuza films and videogames have ruined the Asian community.
And as we all know black people are simultaneously less economically empowered and yet still somehow the ones holding up the multi-billion dollar hip hop business.

We can't let inconvenient facts like who the main purchaser of merchandise and concert tickets for major rap acts get in the way of our condescending narrative that paints black people as morons who can't differentiate between ducktales told on wax(like other races can) and real-life calls for violence.

What was al capone and his goons bumping on the vinyl player before they did the st. valentines day massacre? oh right, hip hop invented violent gangs and crime.

I feel worse for having engaged in this stupid "discussion"

I remember my boy had a mixtape with a joint by Posta Boy (remember him from 106 and Park?) and he had a lyric that said something about smelling like a Jew but Jew was censored out. It took a minute for us to find out what was censored.

But this right here is the problem when you try to reduce an important conversation to 'whataboutisms'.

Do you have any idea how many rappers have lost their lives to gun violence? No other genre even compares. The rest are Mother Goose Club by comparison.
Why even bring up other genres then. If the topic is violence caused by hip hop just keep it there. There was no need for comparison. And if course I know the amount of rappers who lost their lives to gun violence I actually grew up with one. And it's also crazy yall taking Cam and that pastor serious. They ain't trying to stop nothing they just using an easy topic to generate views.

False equivalence..terrible examples.

Those privileged wealthy groups you tried to compare to Black people live completely different lives to Blacks..they have the privilege of a wealthy social structure that enables them to separate art from life.
Breh in the hood may already be living inside a fps scorsese video game.
