Can managers read your one on one messages with another coworker in teams? 🤔

We use Slack at work. I would never use it for anything that can come back at me.

When people want to bytch a quick Zoom call is good as you can't record that unless it explicitly asks. Like we have our morning meetings recorded.
I don't know if Zoom has the feature, but Teams can do live transcription without other people knowing, and today I just learned it auto transcribes video recordings after it gets uploaded to SharePoint

100%. One of my coworkers has a hard time keeping up with the flow of information (based on a very educated guess :hubie: ). They shared their Teams window one day and it was doing a live transcription of what we were all saying. Teams never notified us. Pretty slick shyt if you're hard of hearing, it could be a real game changer for them, but if you want to be nefarious with it :hubie: . That said I doubt many people know of the capability unless they go looking for it.

Yea I'm fụcked. It makes sense though. She was saying shıt that had me thinking......na, no one would leak this shıt with the dirt I had on them.

The only difference is that they talked about it and I typed it so it's out there.

I thought those messages were private but I remember my old lead would prefer to get on a call whenever I was dealing with some work related stress.

They've already built up a case against me especially because of personal shıt I know about old coworkers that "retired".

In my meeting this morning, she pretty much alluded to knowing what I said and to be careful in the future with another job with who you converse with. It wasn't so much what I said but what I shouldn't know.

At this point, they're just playing chess because even if it hurts their company at this time of the year, it's harmful for the company overall in terms of their morale.

One person quit because of this employee that set me up. A previous employer was "laid off" so its deeper than rap. She's coveted in her role.

Did you talk about your love for Obi Toppin and being a Boston, MA native and a NY Knicks fan on the Microsoft Teams chat?

That by itself is easily a fire-able offense

i think it all depends in the level of enterprise your MS 365 is supporting.

in the air force i think only HAF level admins have ediscovery and even then probably cant use it unless its a directed investigation.

They can

My supervisor brought up something to me that I talked to someone else in a different department about.

I text the lady because I have her personal number and she said she never said a word.

It wasn't even anything bad, I was just like damn how she know that information.

Everyone of yall who talks shyt in teams about their supervisor or coworkers is an idiot. When we got put on teams, me and a coworker had a clear understanding with eachother to not use it for anything other than work cause we knew they would spy on the convos.

Operate under the belief that they have access to your messages. Operate on the understanding that your colleagues can always snake you.

Being direct, don't put in writing what you're not prepared to say in the open.

Everywhere
Yes, but usually an HR request is made for this. Which needs levels of approval so you would have had to be up to some real shyt or your managers hate you lol.

Ya’ll act like co-workers aren’t gossiping bytches. The simplest solution is the person he spoke to either told someone or alluded to someone what was said in the chat.

Maybe not directly to the supervisor but someone else (possibly even HR). However his supervisor heard and was able to figure out what was said.

it might not have been specific, or malicious, but even hinting at what I suppose is office gossip doesnt take a genius for them to know you was talking shyt about the supervisor who the org treats like a super star.

idk if they are going to let you go, but try not to talk trash unless you can frame it in a way that doesn’t reflect badly on you.
