the fact that this is a super tight race is actually not a good sign for Kamala at all (most polls have her ahead of Trump by only 1 to 2 points nationally). In 2020 Biden was up by as much as 4 points while Hilary was up by 3 points in 2016 and still lost. 
No but the point is neither side will. The difference is Trump will just be honest about it while the Democrats will give word salad.

They aren't using the same methodology for these polls that they used in 16 or 20. Yeah Trump is definitely winning right now. But on the flip side, I think Trump going into the election with the lead will help Kamala because she’ll maximize her anti-Trump voters.
