Without help, blacks were on course for some great things throughout the 50s and 60s. The CIA pumping crack into the community and assassinating black leaders severely crippled our momentum during the 70s and 80s. We still haven't recovered from that. We gotta get back to the days of educating ourselves (academically and worldly) and carrying ourselves with that sense of purpose and dignity that saw us kicking down the doors of segregation. There's been a conscious effort and unlimited resources to keep black folks down. I'm not one to say "this race is better than that race" but I've noticed (as have other ethnic groups) that when black folks are focused and acting on our full potential, we usually shoot to the top of the ladder in whatever we are pursuing; the white power structure obviously can't handle this, and vehemently fights against it. Aligning with Mexicans may win a petty battle or two, but the war for Black Excellence has to be fought solely by black people, and all it will take is a shift of consciousness and priorities within the community.
And FYI: liberalism has become a crutch for the black community, and many liberals look down on blacks just as much as the repulikkkans do. We don't need any political party to dictate our lives to us. How do you nikkas not know this?
