Easily, DMX has with out question 1 classic album ( it's dark and hell is hot) and arguably 3.

Nas only has one.

Line up there sales # too, X wins.

Put on a bunch of people, X wins.

Battle rapping, X wins.

Only thing X was never really tested on was a rap beef like Nas and Jay had

Dame grease and p killer made dmxs best beats. Swizz just made the hits and even those some of em you'd be surprised he didn't produce. Swizzs best dmx work was on flesh of my flesh that's where he produced more then just hits other then that swizz beatz is good but his shyts so repititive and most times different beats sound almost exactly the same as other beats. shyt is disgusting

He's wrong. Nas was DEF in the mainstream conscious before 01. In 99 he sold like double plat off I Am even tho the album got bootlegged to the point he had to change the album. Nastradamus was a throwaway project and even with that he still went 1.5 and that was released the same year as I Am. That's 2 multiplat albums in one year. He was all over features like Missy's Hot Boy remix and Mariah Carey's Thank God I Found You. Etc. in 2000 he had the QB's Finest album with The Bridge 2001 and Oochie Wally. As far as other features as well.

U wrong as fukk. Nas came off a plat album with Stillmatic. There was never a disappearance.

DMX exist for the same reason lil zane & arguably ja rule did....PAC died! DMX exploited that lane once puffy overdid the shinny suits.

That being said Harlem World I rather listen too than dated production on DMX jawnts.

Harlem World & Mr Smith still sound good to me.




Anyways....98 & later really isn't old school. 80's & 1/2 the 90s is old school, Imo.
