He didn't pay him back. Cam said Dame did it and only wanted him to have the career he deserved to have. So he became his manager and made sure to look out for him.

Cam was doing bad and couldn't get out of the deal, and owed the label millions. He went to Dame because he said he didn't have anywhere else to go. Un said Dame called him and aggressively told him that what he was doing was foul and that he would make sure Cam got off the label. He put up the money to get Cam released and out of the red. When he came to Roc, Dame signed him for like $4-5 million.

So we can't do the "we all are grown men and should be able to take care of ourselves" thing, and then pretend like Cam didn't go straight to Dame when he himself had money issues and asked for help. He always credited Dame with "teaching him" and helping him get out of the hole financially. So now that Dame is going through his own issues, you can't tell that same man that he needs to work harder when he bailed you out of your own jams and made it comfortable for you. That's weirdo sh*t on Cam's part.

It’s a Harlem thing. These dudes operate like teenage girls. Beef with each other, then make up and be best friends, then beef with each other, take all kinds of wild public personal shots at each other, become friends again, and then go at the others in the group and hate on them. Kevin Hart ain't Cam'ron. Dame literally financed Cam's freedom. He was never gonna be able to come up with that money he owed Epic/Sony. They had him signed for like a million albums too. He was done.

But yeah, does Kevin Hart owe Dame? Nah. But if somebody put me on, and they're dealing with some sh*t, I would definitely see how I could look out for them today. And that's whether I owe them or not. That's just being solid.

Large Professor was having money issues because of his medical bills. He and Nas lost contact around that time, and Nas reached out to make sure all of his bills were paid off because he said Paul put him on, so "the least he could was make sure he was good".
