He said the right thing to me, but the optics of it are obviously going to be rough with this stigma that he's a "me-me-me" guy". But yeah, I rather be known as the actual best player amongst all of my peers for at least one season. And I think the same would generally be held amongst most sports outside of football.

🧢 nothing about him says he doesn’t play to win. If he still had the opportunity to win a ring his answer would be different.

This. Cam was crying a couple of weeks ago, because there weren’t any images of him in the Panthers facilities and he felt that the organization didn’t respect his career. That doesn’t happen if he wins a Super Bowl.
They got pics of Luke he ain’t win shyt either.

I would love to hear Luke Kuechly's opinion on this. Also @murksiderock how is Cam a better player in Panthers history, than Luke was??

I get it too. But even still there are levels. I appreciate LaDainian’s position more than Cam’s because being a HoFer takes greatness over a period of time while being MVP just takes one magical season. Maybe it’s because of that SB performance and how has career turned out after that but I question if Cam will make the HoF. I think he might be in that McNair and Boomer Esaison category.
Question it?? Cam is not a Pro Football HOFer. I can name 50 players who are more deserving,.who arent in, off the top of my head.

Seven Cy Youngs >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> seven no hitters.

It means you were the best of the best in your league/conference seven different times. You can't luck into that.

You CAN get some breaks getting a no hitter though. Granted, Nolan Ryan had seven, but the seven Cy Youngs are definitely a greater achievement.

It's really not close. That would be like a basketball player scoring over 60 vs getting an MVP, I don't think anyone taking the 60
