The offense not being built around you and your abilities as a QB as well as trust/distrust in your abilities as a QB makes you a game manager.

Having a QB who doesn't fukk up, plays smart, keeps the team competitive and takes what the defense gives him is GREAT. Damn near just as valuable as the "game changer" QB. The only difference is team make up.
You can do more with less with someone like Mahomes, but the trade off is your QB will take up 20% of the cap. But at the end of the day with the right team around them, you can get the same result with Brock Purdy.
Put it like this, if the Bills had someone who just managed the game they would probably have more than 7 wins this season.
