Every time this topic comes up, a bunch of folk run in to affirm their usage of the word :mjplsass:
Because who wants to be told you’re not black because you use the N word? You have the same black struggle, facing the same issues, yet because of ONE word, all that doesn’t matter? Lol. It’s silly, but at the same time I understand. I’ll still use the word and still feel black. The idea of unity left me a while ago. It’s impossible.

Calling yourself a nikka it's not black culture. It's ignorant culture.

I'm a black man not a nikka

That's all

The Black high school football coach motivating his players with N words that got fired, thecoli felt he was done wrong because somehow every Black person has an obligation to defend and own the N word. Some ignorant people decided what was best for all Black people :mjlol:

Another example of division. Because of the language you use, I’m going to dismiss you. We so busy looking for the perfect package before we accept one another.

At risk of trending toward elitism of any sort...where then should the line be drawn?

Because there has to be some kind of positive/beneficial standard beyond repetitive mental laziness and psychological self-harm.

I like listening to people’s ideas and thoughts and see what they are talking about. It’s a lot of hoteps with no real plan.

I agree with you. Agreed-upon plans are important.

Equally as important is the ability to communicate those plans to even get to any point(s) of agreement. Without communication we're all working at cross purposes. Relationships, Military, mathematicians, engineers, scientists, educators, whatever field you can choose to use as your lens...nothing gets done without it.

So, again: if you know that certain types of communication are harmful to whatever you're trying to accomplish, where do you draw the line as to what you filter out as not being helpful?

You think it's harmful. I feel one of the aspects of communicating is being able to adapt to your audience. If you choose not to address or write off the audience within the black community because they use the "n" word, that is your choice. I'm not doing that.

Edit: Dudes are frustrated that brothas and sistas wanna calls themselves Gods but are all on board for blacks calling themselves “nikka” :mjlol:
