Missions in the past is a given but i wish they would translate it into multiplayer. i think it would be dope to have some maps take place in the past and some in the future and players are limited to the weapons depending on the time frame

Treyarch’s just-announced Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 has leaked, revealing the full look of the mysterious soldier silhouette that was teased in the announcement trailer earlier today.

His gear and outfit are quite clearly from a time beyond ours; you can even make out a more sleek-looking exo-skeleton –though perhaps more robotic in nature — that surrounds the outer layer of his arms and likely his back and legs as well. The giveaway is the outer plating attached to the rotary motor devices at his elbows.

If anything, the material suggests that the game will primarily take place in the future and will feature advanced soldier movement and strength similar to what Sledgehammer Games introduced in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.

A game description discovered by Twitter user @ThaTiemsz on the official Call of Duty website also confirms that Black Ops 3 will once again be made up of three primary game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies. It also explains that the setting will take place in a “twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldiers emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare.”

“Call of Duty®: Black Ops 3 is the first title for next-gen hardware in the critically acclaimed Black Ops series. Developed by Treyarch, the award-winning creator of the two most played games in Call of Duty® history. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 deploys players into a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldiers emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare. With three unique game modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies, it providing fans with the deepest and most ambitious Call of Duty ever.”

Call of Duty: Black Ops’ setting spanned the Vietnam War with a flashback or two set in the World War 2 era. Meanwhile, Black Ops 2’s campaign primarily took place in the year 2025 with flashbacks to the original Black Ops’ timeline. This year, it appears that Treyarch is pushing the boundaries even further with a setting that takes place during the peak of our technological evolution.

I like the futuristic approach.

Its the jumping that has me like eh

Nope jumping is good. Future is not. These developers don't listen to the fukkin streets?? Everyone been asking for battlefield to return to world war or Vietnam and for cod to make world at war 2. Then these fukks drop more future shyt

Im not a hardcore COD fan. AW is just the one I had the most fun with. MW2 was dope too.
this is the same thing for me...I loved MW2, but I have had more fun with this one than any other cod, and is the first one id put on regularly. I personally like the exo suits, and I like all the maps. I just wish they would bring back that side mode they used to have in MW2 with the lil missions and goals and what not.
