MW1 had skill gaps because it was the first for many people playing that game, by the time BO2 came out they had all but made sniping obsolete

MW2 IMO had the biggest gaps, there were more 25-1 type games where people ended it in a round than any other duty(and i wanna say they did away with the nuke ending the game after that)

when i talk skill im alluding to the tactics players use to take advantage of the map NOT how fast they can draw on someone. I am way more impressed seeing a last man standing take on four guys because he knows the ins and outs of where hes going versus his opposition

MW2 didn't have the biggest skill gap :mjlol: The game (perks, weapons, etc.) were unbalanced.

Tactical/skillful players were rewarded in BO2. Go watch any COD pro talk about the subject and they will tell you that BO2 has one of the biggest skill gaps.

AW is too chaotic and random to be balanced.
it depends on game mode, domination theres shyt in the air 24/7 just like MW2 and BO2

but in the slower paced modes its not as bad. Sniping is dead though because of the jumping. LIke the only folks ive seen to be what i consider "good" are using the one sniper rifle with the exploding round which aint really sniping to begin with

but as far as balancing there isnt really a "bad" spot on most maps. Its not as nice as ghosts with routes through each area but its better than the whole three lane build. The kill streaks are also not as overpowered as say a chopper gunner or dogs.

I will say though that my Hind > Helo Pilot > Loki on that castle map on ghosts did net me a personal best ratio with a 60-1 performance :skip: send that AI juggernaught into the castle and pummel the rest of the map into oblivion :wow:

exactly what tactics do you speak of :skip: ive been pretty clear on what im calling it

trust me when i say MW2 there was the worst gaps. People with ratios of sub 0.5 etc versus guys with 3s and 4s. Too take it a step further with how cheap it was in MW2

i had a loadout with one man army that was duplicated and I had grenade launchers plus proximity mines(whatever it was called in that one) that i could refresh as soon as i ran out :dead: that game was ridiculous yet the maps were actually great. But as far as the gap between people in the know vs not in the know ive never seen a game more slanted. Even BO2 wasnt as bad. I actually still own BO2 on the PC(traded in the ps3 version) and its literally a game of who sees who first unless its S&D.

It's chaotic and random is practically every game mode.

I can't believe you think the maps in Ghosts and the game itself was good. The maps in that game were way too big for 6v6. The maps had absolutely no flow and there were way too many routes. At times it took way too long to find an enemy. Ghosts had some of the worst maps in COD history, Siege, st0rmfr0nt, Stonehaven, etc.

The maps were balanced. The perks were balanced. The weapons were balanced. In BO2 it came down to gun skill and map awareness.

In MW2, you could give a terrible player a one man army, noobtube, and danger close class and you could watch him go to work. That's not what I call a large skill gap. That can't be done in BO2.

well see thats where me and you differ

i play with 2-3 other people i know and we get on via party. We know where we're locking shyt down and that if me and player B are watching/advancing down Lane X, we know player C and D are watching the flank routes

see if you play with the intent of: 1) Spawn > 2) look at UAV where is enemy > 3) head in that direction shoot anything that moves > 4) die and respawn hopefully you get a streak > 5) repeat

that aint really tactics. There are times where i avoid even looking at the UAV because of the fact it will ruin your instincts on where you think people should be coming. Ghosts to be good you had to know where the routes were and where the best vantage points are, something almost completely non-existent in smaller maps which is the main reason why i say BO2 is noob friendly and also why so many people like it

now with that said BO2 is still a great game but in comparison to other dutys it doesnt hold up at all and imo is the worst because of the lack of variety which normally i fix with S&D but even that mode suffered because of the baby style maps

EDIT - and if you think balanced means you know exactly where people will be thats just called spoon feeding and exactly why its not very fulfilling to me. In SOCOM there would be so many different avenues that if you didnt play as a team you would get run the fukk out and become butter bars by the end of the match

Ghosts had almost no skill gap. You could 2 bullet somebody across the map. If you got shot first in Ghosts, you were going to die. It rewarded terrible players with the low TTK.

That's not even close to how I play.

I'm done arguing breh Agree to disagree

I still can't believe you think that piece of trash Ghosts is a good game. That is by far the worst game in the franchise.

are you saying that people should require 5+ bullets to put down? :ld:

SOCOM would have made you break your tv

this is the KEY difference between a game like Halo and a supposed "realistic" shooter

hell in the original Ghost Recon when you get shot in a limb you would be crippled :skip:

I hope they return to the more serious nature of the first BLOPS(which is seriously underrated) II was too cartoonish and silly to me.
