Call of Duty Black Ops III Season Pass is fifty bucks? Really?

Ok, I’ve been saying for a while that this whole DLC and season pass thing has grown out of control. Season passes and DLC being announced before games are even completed or even worse, being required if you want to get the whole game and not just %90 of it. But this one my friends takes the cake or pie if you don’t like cake.
So as you are already aware of, Activision recently announced that there would be a third game in the Call of Duty Black Ops series, hell who didn’t see that coming. Now to be fair it does look interesting but time will tell if I’ll pick it up and likely that’s how most of us feel. However what I know I likely won’t be doing is picking up a FIFTY DOLLAR SEASON PASS for the game. You heard me, Activision has finally lost it (Some will argue they lost it a while ago) and has announced a $50 season pass for Black Ops 3.

This recently showed up on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com/app/366843) though I haven’t seen any official announcement from Activision on the matter, but I imagine that it’s coming. So a $50 season pass for a game that is going to cost $60, what kind of madness is this? Sure they are also giving you the option of paying $100 for both the game and the season pass, but nothing else. For that type of money I’m expecting some sort of collection edition bundle or something, but not $100 for just the game and it’s DLC.
Mind you that the season pass promises to include 4 “exciting DLC packs”, there isn’t any mention of what they are and is just another example of DLC being announced before the game is even completed.
Deja Vu all over again.
I don’t know what’s worse; The fact that Activision feels that they need to charge that much for a season pass, the fact that people will buy it or the fact that this may convince other companies to follow suit and raise their prices on season passes in the future.
No matter how you look at this, it ain’t good.

Activision Support Says 'Stay Tuned' on Call of Duty for Wii U

"Treyarch is focused 100% on developing Black Ops III for PC, Xbox One and PS4" Seth G. MacyWhen it was revealed that Black Ops III would be coming out later this year, the Wii U was conspicuously absent from the list of platforms.
One Twitter asked the official Activision support account why the ability to link Nintendo Network IDs was on the Call of Duty site if the game wouldn't be hitting Wii U. The response from support? "Stay tuned for more Wii U releases."

The Call of Duty website allows gamers to link their Nintendo Network ID, a move that fueled speculation at the beginning of April that the next Call of Duty would make an appearance on Nintendo's flagship console. The game is currently only slated to come to Xbox One, Playstation 4, and PC.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III is coming out November 6, 2015 and has death robots with guns for arms, a radical departure from previous iterations of the series that featured little death robot action.
If Black Ops III isn't coming to Wii U, but Activision wants users to stay tuned for Wii U releases, does that mean there's something in the Call of Duty universe coming to the console? We've reached out to Activision for comment, so by all means, keep checking IGN for updates.

Activision on Call of Duty: Black Ops III: “Really Bullish,” “It’s Gonna Be a Great Experience”

bk.gif

The reveal of Call of Duty: Black Ops III created a lot of buzz among the community and the press, and Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirsberg expressed confidence in the potential of the title during the latest financial conference call held today.
Hirsberg mentioned that the three year development cycle allowed the company to put “a deeper offering on the disk,” with a multiplayer that is going to be the “deepest” and “stickiest” every made for the franchise. The zombie mode is gonna be “deeper than ever,” and the campaign has “big innovations” as well, with the ability to play in co-op mentioned as an example. That should drive not just engagement, but also replayability, as it adds more variation to the experience.
According to Hirsberg, the game will build on the success of previous Call of Duty games, but it’s still bring in “a lot of fresh ideas,” and he concluded with a strong expression of confidence:
“We’re really bullish on the content, and I think it’s gonna be a great experience.”
What we’ve seen so far is definitely interesting, and we’ll see if Activision’s confidence is going to be well placed.

Black Ops III ‘Alpha’ Build On E3, Hints at Beta Before Gamescom, Gamescom Build “Nearly” Finished

1428609814-call-of-duty-black-ops-3-810x400.jpg

With Treyarch’s Black Ops III releasing in November of this year many Call of Duty fans are eager to see some new footage from the game. Those who pre-order the game will get access to the beta of the shooter and Treyarch’s design director David Vonderhaar might have hinted at a beta launch before Gamescom 2015.
Vonderhaar responded to some tweets from a fan asking about the multiplayer beta for Black Ops III after he got confused whether the beta will be available at home or at the upcoming events.
According to Vonderhaar the Beta will be available at your home but the build for the upcoming E3 and Gamescom will be something different:

Vonderhaar continued that that build that will be available at the E3 will be the ‘Alpha’ build and the Gamescom build is “nearly” finished:

The order in which Vonderhaar tweeted might indicate that the beta could release between the E3 and Gamescom. Vonderhaar comments that this is merely an assumption though:

We can’t wait for some new footage for the upcoming shooter from Treyarch. What are your expectations for the upcoming events and the beta?

Alex Mason and Edward Richtoften Returns as Black Ops III Characters
Posted on May 25, 2015 by Guest Post in Featured, News, Video Games // 0 Comments
Black-Ops-III-characters-620x264.jpg

In recent news fans got leaked details about Black Ops III characters. Alex Mason will be returning as a primary role in the game Black Ops III. Alongside of the information about Alex Mason being leaked we have word on what fan favorite Edward Richtoften will also be making a return. Edward Richtoften is known for his part in Call of Duty Black Ops II Zombies mode.
The information has come in the form of a commercial casting for actors to play the roles of these Call of Duty Black Ops III characters. The casting was put in place for actors to assume the roles of these two Call of Duty Black Ops III characters in an upcoming live action commercial to be played on TV. The casting was released on an official casting network searching for actors who looked more like these character than those who have acting abilities to play these characters.
Call of Duty Black Ops III Characters Descriptions:
In the casting the Call of Duty Black Ops III characters name was titled Alex Mason. He was described as a male Caucasian and Marine Force Recon Captain in the age group between 25 and 40. They also state that he was the main playable character in Call of Duty Black Ops and the main playable character in the 1980s missions of Call of Duty Black Ops II.
The casting describes Edward Richtoften as a Caucasian male between the ages of 25 and 40; “a mad scientist type, and psychopath with desire for violence.”
While there is no solid evidence on where these characters will be appearing in the game it is thought that the Treyarch team might take these Call of Duty Black Ops III characters down a past and future road yet again in single player mode. Its been a wonder how they will set up the plot of this game since players weighed heavy on decisions in Black Ops II. This is just a little more solid information on what direction the game might be taken in.
Again nothing is confirmed, we don’t even know if these characters might just appear in Zombies mode; however it is certain that both Alex Mason and Edward Richtoften will be used in some way shape or form in Call of Duty Black Ops III.
