You really believe most of those dudes on youtube aren't either on gear and/or using other training modalities besides just calisthenics? :usure:

Even Goku n dem lifted weights too. :skip:

As for the answer to your original question, I am not (and will never be) on that calisthenics wave. I actually like going into a gym and lifting things up and putting them down.
:hubie:

I've never met anyone irl who mainly did calis and was actually brolic or strong (in terms of moving weight), so I'm good on bushing weights for that.
:camby:

If I was ever unable to do that for some reason (injury/disability, w/e) I still wouldn't do calisthenics. I'd either pick up swimming, biking, or running.
:mjcry:

I will agree with you that doing calis outside is cheaper than paying for a gym membership, and that you can do them almost anywhere.
:ehh:

Never use dudes in prison as a barometer for something like this……..

Unless you plan on creating those same conditions on the outside the factors aren't the same so don't expect the same outcome................................

When there were no gyms open, I was on that pull up bar everyday. Not long after I started doing weighted calisenthics. Weight is essential if you are ONLY doing cali.

I have equipment at home so I could weather the lockdown storm. When I got back in the gym I continued doing cali. It’s great in concert with weightlifting.

Once you can do working sets for pull ups, dips, press ups, squats, add some weight bruh

And get in a gym shortly after that :youngsabo:

I haven’t stepped in a gym since 2019 and I’m not buff/bulk like I was with the weights but I’m million times more ripped and defined so much that I don’t really care to go back to the gym

I prefer to look thick:dame:

I would get bored doing all calisthenics because it becomes the law of diminishing returns after awhile imo

im tryna get slim I’m thick no homo, pops was a nfl linebacker and I got a cousin that’s a regional heavyweight wrestling

Of course. I def prefer ring inverted rows with high volume compared to weight versions now.
