Caleb...wasted a timeout on on their own 3. Yea it worked. However, the penalty would have been half a yard at worst. Why waste a timeout.
Slow getting the play off...Eberflus burns a timeout just as Caleb was about to snap it.
Both completely blow the last play.
However, once the sack happens Eberflus has to realize that FG range is their best bet. Just take the timeout.

Flus not taking that timeout overrides everything else on that drive. The snap was late, the setup slow. Like, how do you not call the TO there?
And yes, I agree Caleb looks to hero ball it more than needed. It is one of my criticisms. Take the 4-8 more, check it down, so on. He also has poorer accuracy for whatever reason. I even said he throws like Westbrook would shoot.
But at the end of the game, with how it was going on, the coach needs to do his thing there regardless of the QB play.Caleb could have ran back to the 1 and did a snow angel on the field on the previous play but you still call that timeout if you see the last play is not getting on as it should be. You don't let it run out.
