I mean no one ever claims Gordon and Kevin is gonna go down as Bron and Wade's contemporary

And that’s how they got nikkas fooled... this is a perfect example of the conditioning...

nikkas can’t even look at Melo’s career on a purely basketball level.... they have to juxtapose him to an all time GOAT just to be able to marginalize him in some ways... if Melo was white... his jersey may be up for retirement in Denver

I dont even know what youre saying rn breh. Yeah if you compared him to a race of people that prolly constitute sub 10% of good players in the current NBA, he'd probably be worshipped :skip: If bron was white hed be heralded on a higher tier than God :francis: you can go all day with that reasoning, Melo is just a consistently disappointing player who is useless outside of scoring, he deserves what he gets :yeshrug:

Anyone who talks down on ISO scoring doesn't know basketball. And Melo was definitely a top scorer in the league at one point.

The way I see it, if Melo was never a top 5 player than neither was Durant, or Kobe, etc...

Yeah, A.I. was so washed putting up 26/3/7 with 2 steals on career high efficiency numbers

Nah, Chauncey Billups wasn’t making All-Star, All-NBA, and All-Defensive teams

Both had their best seasons playing along side Melo. AI was shooting better than most ever knew he could, Billups with a career high ppg.

People love switching narratives against Melo. He took the money? No his wife let it out that she wanted to be in NY for her career. Melo never said ish and always tried to keep it quiet. Of course he was going to stay there, that's where they wanted to be. He actually wanted to end his career as a Knick...extremely different from the moves that are today.

He's had virtually no help on the Knicks. His best team was the savvy vet squad but they all broke down. He's had JR as his 2nd best player for years. But it's not OK for Lebron to have JR as his 3rd-4th best. He's had Shumpert as his starting PG. He's had Sasha as a starting PG/SG...after he'd been out of the league 2 years. He had a season where the coach used like 82 different starting lineups. Even his 1st year with Jeff, they were playing well, then Phil/Jeff sabotaged the squad. Affalo, Lance Thomas starting. They're gonna do the same with Porzingas

Melo didn't have enough help on the Knicks to win a championship but he definitely had enough to not be in the lottery every year. :pachaha:

Melo was always a top 3 scorer to me before he regressed. Never a top 5 player. He had a similar career arch to Nique.
