He wasn't. His rookie season was the only season he was better than Bron and Wade and they weren't top 10 players then. He was never better than Kobe. So at best he was top 4 wing. maybe.

Probably right. He came in the League with Bron, so that's one spot gone. Most years I'd put Wade in front as well. Kobe was better at least til 2011, then Durant and Weesbrook get in. The list is rather long imo.

I don't think Melo has cracked top 5 but arguably in one year. The rest I don't think he's top 10.

Way I remember it, there was legit discussion about him being better than bron their first few seasons. He was doing what bron was doing except better and a better scorer.

His only knock was his defense and he wasn't a distributor like bron.

I agree with the majority and say he was top 5 in 2013....the league was real short on talent at the time. It was LeBron/KD and everybody else basically.

Early in Melo career too many greats still in their prime. Kobe, Tmac, Vince, AI, KG, Duncan, Pierce all ahead of him. Not to mention Bron and Wade was always better out the gate.

OK so look at people players think were better. The same arguments with Melo, you can have about other people

Tmac - never out of 1st round. The year his team made it out, he was hurt. He had seasons of not even make the playoffs
Wade had 20 W seasons on MIA
KG made it out the 1st round 1 time with a over-the-hill Spree, and Cassell. 1 time. but he's the #2 PF in most eyes
Dirk has never played on a trash squad no matter how you look at it, he got bounced 1st round exits with 60+ Ws
Nash - never were the Suns a legit contender
Chris Paul - made it to the conference finals 1x and that was now..never out of 2nd round
Lebron didn't make the playoffs 1st 2 years.
Paul Pierce - 35 W team shooting like 41% from the field
