In my experience anytime a black person gets a job or promotion most white people will see them as being unqualified and feel they only got it because of affirmative action or something.

It's unfortunate that the world is like that but what can you do :yeshrug:

Some Black people, unfortunately, buy into Affirmative Action being the sole reason for advancement. Not sure if they know they do it, either.

During the diaspora wars the past few years, one of the most repeated phrases was that Black foreigners were taking slots meant for others in college admissions.
Implication being that neither the immigrant or the native born Black would/could get into the school on his own merits.

Always raised my eyebrow to read that. Still does.

often lawsuits like these are secretly funded by someone else. they're not expecting to win, they just want to get amex's internal communications through the discovery process. once they find something embarrassing or politically damaging (and there always is something), it's gonna be more useful for furthering whatever their cac agenda is than winning a "discrimination" lawsuit against a single company.

I'm betting they saw a few black people get promoted and got triggered. I'm willing to bet that most of the people getting promoted aren't black.

“Oh my god, is that a black card?”
I turned around and replied, ”Why yes
But I prefer the term African American Express”

Before this happened, they would tell you how you would move up. ‘These are the steps you would take,’ et cetera. No longer did that matter because all that matters now is the color of the candidate’s skin," the former employee said. "I would see these emails showing who got promoted. I'd say nine times out of 10, it was a Black person in that role."

Lol but they had no problem when white people were the 9 out of the 10.

This is merely a coping mechanism for their feelings of inadequacy. “Clearly the blacks are only advancing over me due to a bigger agenda at play, not because they’re talented”
