Physical albums will not be sold much more longer, they had to change the guards before that happens.

On a side note, streaming songs/albums should not count the same as buying psychical albums. Two totally different experiences, methods, and quality of playing.


Eagles do have some decent songs I rock with.
Thriller is still the worlds greatest selling album of all time.

Not really fair to put a compilation of great hits against a solo album.

Especially now since merchandise is consider a sale. If that the case MJ should did a billion

Never heard any of their songs in my life. That song sounds terrible. Skimmed thru their songs on Spotify and didnt last past 10 seconds on any song.

I’ve heard of The Eagles. Never heard this Hotel California track or any of their songs. Only reason I even know of The Eagles is because didn’t understand how they had one of the highest selling albums of all time.

I wonder if their will ever be a huge explosion of classic hiphop station like their where with the classic rock stations in the 80's.

There was a boom of them a few years ago and they failed. Almost all of em had their formats changed.

if any of you are truly hurt by this news, you can take comfort in the fact MJ is regarded as a legend by like everyone despite the "scandals" and he will eventually pass the Eagles and take his spot back. He's a newer artist and his hits resonate more with younger generations of all races worldwide.

Unfortunately , Thriller is losing greatly. The estate hasn't even responded with anything, like usual. There is a big perception now that The Eagles have overtaken Thriller worldwide, thanks to horrible wording from RIAA and Associated Press (first news organization to pick up the story). But MJ surpassed 20 million sales way back in 1984, less than 2 years after Thriller was released. Eagles didn't hit that mark until the 90s. Being an older group has nothing to do with their surge in "sales." There's some funny business going on. I predict a few albums that are close like The Eagles other album and Billy Joel will mysterously overtake Thriller.

I'll be 30 next month and have never heard of them. I've heard that Hotel California track in movies and shows and I still couldn't tell you who made that song. I came up on Hip-hop and R&B and my folks were listening to stuff like The Elements, MJ, Stevie, Whitney, The Isley Brother, Aretha, etc. I'm not trying to throw shade but these cacs get no play from me or anyone I know.
