If I go out with people and they don’t tip I simply pick up the tip, and never go out with them to eat again. Pretty embarrassing when that shyt happens too. Muthafukkas really going out to eat and worried about an extra $8 going towards the tip. I’ll never understand how people could get good service and can’t tip at least 10-15%. It’s always the people who haven’t worked in the industry who are the most ignorant towards it, but that goes with most customer service based jobs. Amazing how people don’t agree with the restaurant policies of tipping yet will go out and take full advantage of not tipping because “it isn’t mandatory”.

I honestly don't care. Again, tipping INITIALLY was about appreciation of service. You give me good service, I give you a tip. Just because society has move to a system now where it's now an entitlement instead of an appreciation for a job well done, I'm not going to buy into it and agree with it. As I said, I already bitterly off top tip 15% for mediocre service and no tip if the service is really bad.

NOW I need to tip you for to go orders? Nah fukk that. I'm personally putting my foot down on that and I'd recommend others do the same. Service industry workers are becoming obnoxious entitled c*nts. At some point whine at your boss.

It's not even about the fact these people get paid under minimum now. Every place, even those you know pay minimum wage and above have their fukking tip jars at the register trying to get me to tip for a pick up order. I worked retail for 6 years and barely made over minimum wage and dealt with shythead customers and never got a tip. No sympathy.

Never in my lifetime has it ever been this way.

Basic, 15% tips aren't about appreciation of a service well done. You're literally paying that man or woman's wages.

You're supposed to go above and beyond the basic, 15% tip for good service. I'll take it to 25% easy if its a breh or brehette out here really putting in effort.

Even if the service is shyt, you tip that 15%. Then you get a hold of the manager and let him know what went down.

Any reputable place is gonna end up 1) comping your meal, or 2) offering you a gift card / free meal voucher to use on your next visit. That give-back more than covers the tip you paid.

Yes, we should have moved to a system where service workers earn an actual living wage a long time ago. But we haven't. Don't punish the people working and trying to earn a living for that.

The only time I eat out is if it's on some treating self stuff or nothing in the fridge type of moments, and even then a simple meal deal from Bi Lo is a helluva lot better than dealing with the secret ingredients that comes with some some restaurant dishes

Exactly. I’ve seen whites dip without tipping. Asians too. Arabs as well. But let a black person do it and people start going into histrionics about how cheap we are and then they want to put stuff in our food. They are obsessed with us and we need to stay away from them
