Umar has said so many things that weirdos run with as scripture. I see it on my FB feed everyday. That kinda shyt gets in the way of mobilizing the black community to fight for common goals.

I think if he has PRODUCED something we can feel/see things would be different. His ideas about starting a school are wonderful and I hope someone who's better equipped to handle scrutiny will make that happen. Umar is a liar and a charleton to me. And yes, majority of young Black people are on the left and we don't get down with dudes like Umar because we perceive them to be con-artists and opportunists. They don't do any research that would help Black people. They don't push for any policies that would help Black people. I mean...I don't know what their purpose is or ideal society would be like.

And we tend to look up to dudes like Huey P. Newton, Stokely Carmichael, Thomas Sanakara, and Malcolm X (even though I ain't down with making out to be some social democratic bisexual man like Manning Marable did to him).
