why? moderate voltron implies that the moderates were spreading themselves thin but had the numbers in their favor. so letting them know they stand to send an unelectable person to the general because they would rather split the votes up is wrong?
I swear you all live in a bizarro world. You let one candidate rise to the top, not tell others to lay down. It’s goofy and unbecoming of a president.

The de facto leader of any party would be its most recent president. Who logically would be fairly involved in the selection of his successor. I'm starting to believe the comments about a lot of you secretly hating Obama, someone help me understand why that is.

Because having a long lived fight between dems creates fissures that aren’t overcome in time for the general. Keeping people divided longer than they should’ve been was not going to win the general election - quite frankly the Dems are lucky coronavirus hit as it took quite a few events to allow Biden to win.

Lastly, former presidents have given their endorsement to various candidates time and time again, it’s amazing how all of a suddenly this is anti democratic and an issue.

breh, have fun living in 2016 and 2020, we have so many problems facing us in government, I don’t care for the intraparty war when republicans are out here obstructing justice and reversing progress. Most Dems have moved on, I certainly have.

and for good measure - fukk Bernie
First off, I want to point out that you are using political rationality as a justification for intervening with the democratic process. To that I say :hhh:

Now let’s examine said political rationale. You want to avoid fissures and bring the party base together. Well how exactly is the former president with all his cache telling candidates to drop out and endorse his guy in order to make it easier for him to win NOT creating fissures? That’s the real lasting fissure: how the establishment repeatedly shyts on its base though anti-democratic means.

Nah, I don’t secretly hate Obama. I hate him and people like him. He is part of the boule negro class that have collected while black people have suffered. And I understand why a lot of you love him because you all secretly think you can be like him, but unfortunately he wouldn’t piss on you if you caught fire—and we saw that with how he handled the 2008 housing crisis.

I also need the instance when a former president did something like this. It’s probably not happened since the early 19th century.

fukk outta here with this “fairly involved” nonsense. He told motherfukkers to lay down and they did. He actively got involved in the primary to help his guy. His successor was supposed to be Hillary btw…whoops.

Since supposedly any president would do this, let’s compare him to one President…the one before him. George W. Bush didn’t pick his successor. He took his old ass home and started painting. He wasn’t making calls telling Fred Thompson and Rick Santorum to drop out.

Ignore the trash post above this. Anyway, Obama told Bernie he’s an Old Testament prophet and moral voice to give the party guidance.

Then he told him prophets don’t get to be king because kings have to make choices prophets don’t and asked him is he ready to make those choices.

Obama has mastered that bullshyt corporate language, where you make someone feel like you’re complimenting them but you’re really telling them you’re not supporting whatever it is they want while framing it as an open-ended challenge question that puts the onus on them.

This is hoe babble my G and nothing to do with my post, this is all your feelings and assumptions of how you think others feel about Obama.

I also need the instance when a former president did something like this. It’s probably not happened since the early 19th century.

We only know about this instance because someone ( probably a big Bernie supporter ) decided to leak it. But whether you all like it or not, Obama is a heavy weight in the Democratic party which means he has input and say on anything the party does.

You don't know what Daddy Bush or Jr did...or any president for that matter. How you all don't understand why this man has the say so in the party that he does is amazing.

Get out of your feelings...
