:mjlol: Dude said he was a system player. He never looked good once he left Sloan's system.
He has looked good when healthy. Did you watch his first year with the Nets? Did you see him last year even though last year he was still limping to some degree

The ultimate Catch 22:

-If rondo didnt get his: he sucks and doesn't do shyt
-if he does good: its only because of who is around him
Dont get me wrong bro. I'd take Rondo on my team right now. But only because i know i have good players that can finish. Rondo will just make their jobs easier. But the nonsense people used to have with putting Rondo in the same level as Rose or CP3 or Deron was always nonsense to me.

To put it simply: Rondo is not a player you build around. Rondo is not a corner stone. Rondo is not a role player either. He's just a good player.

Alright I got you. Don't agree with DWill. I mean he has his moments still, but it's not like he was really on CP3's level either.

I think he was on the level of Rose/CP3, but for different reasons. Rondo can beat you without scoring, not too many players can do that in today's league. Like someone else pointed out, he is a pure PG, he is an all around, does what needs to be done type player.

You cant help what is put around you, Rondo made the best of it.

Im the same person that said he was a pure PG. But as a PG you need to keep people honest by being able to score yourself. Rondo doesnt have that capability. If there is trash around CP3 or Deron or Rose they'll say fukk it and the the shots themselves and beat you. Rondo CANNOT do that. Noone is saying the kid isnt a good player. He's just no great PG liek the type you build around. He's the type you build WITH.

Hard to tell with Rondo because he's either had 3 HOFers around him and Doc Rivers or he's on a team filled with other teams leftovers.

Put him on a team with 7th/8th seed talent and that's the only way you can truly see how good/great he is :manny:

The most overrated player in the last decade, and it's not even close. :mjpls:
I wouldnt say MOST overrated... but he's up there.

Let's put it this way: If he didnt play for the Celtics in the big 3 era most NBA fans probably wouldnt know who he is. He would basically be Jeff Teague on the Hawks. Again, good player... just overrated as hell. He has Pierce and Allen and KG to thank for those All Star appearances. Without them he wouldnt have gotten the spotlight to showcase that he belongs in the top 10

Put it simply: Dude i s a black slightly better Jason Williams (White Chocolate)

Rondo had great teammates, so they're credited for his success. For those who credit the big 3 for his success, playing on a mediocre team would let them know how good Rondo really is.
