Update::::

France and Niger are already negotiating the withdrawal of the French military from the territory of the African country. This is reported by the newspaper Le Monde , citing its own sources. Until now, Paris has rejected the idea of withdrawing about 1,500 soldiers stationed at three bases. According to one of the interlocutors of the publication, such a discussion is normal, since the countries have completed cooperation in the fight against terrorism. In early August, the new government of Niger, which came to power as a result of the rebellion, canceled military agreements with France regarding the deployment of French armed forces on its territory, and demanded the withdrawal of the military contingent.

Ousted Bongo Released, Granted Permission To Travel Abroad For Treatment

Ali Bongo has been released from house arrest by the military junta in Gabon, eight days after he was deposed as president.

The new military leaders in the Central African nation said Bongo is free to leave the country for medical treatment.

Bongo was toppled on the morning the electoral umpire announced that he had been re-elected to a third term in office.

On Monday, Brice Nguema, an army general who led the coup, was sworn in as interim president.

Nguema who is Bongo’s cousin, served as a bodyguard to Bongo’s late father and also headed the country’s republican guard, an elite military unit.

The statement announcing Bongo’s release from house arrest was signed by Nguema.

“Given his state of health, the former President of the Republic Ali Bongo Ondimba is free to move about,” Ulrich Manfoumbi, the military spokesperson, said in the statement read on national television on Wednesday evening.

“He may, if he wishes, travel abroad for medical checkups.”

Bongo became president when Omar, his father, died after ruling from 1967 to 2009.

The military is yet to announce a transition to civilian rule programme.

let me tell you something bold that
@CapitaineIb226
did that upset
@EmmanuelMacron

We’re building a new international airport in Ouagadougou that will replace the current one we have. The offer was given to the French groups Meridian & AMP under former President Roch Marc Christian Kabore. We didn’t know all the details of the deal they made with the French. Nothing new here. That’s what all French puppets do. They never keep their people in the loop, they always keep us in the dark. So, the completion was delaying and even one slab in a building collapsed and killed 7 workers. Can you believe that ? Wasn’t that a sign that the work wasn’t being done properly, and that corruption was involved? So, an investigation was opened, and that’s when we found out that France had only contributed less than 30% of the total cost of the project, and yet per the agreement, the French were going to exploit our new airport for 30 years before handing it over to us. You heard me well, 30 years! The investigation showed us that it was the then ministers for finance and transport who had signed the documents giving such an offer to France. The ministry of transport is already in jail for corruption and money laundering, and the finance minister is awaiting indictment. So, what did the young Captain do ? He just took back the project from France , sacked them, and made public the investigation on national television. This is how we found out what was going on. Do you see the wickedness of France ? A luta continua!
