i disagree, i think next season means everything for the at least the next 5 years of the team

it will really establish what jimmy is, if he is more kobe bryant / dwade or more mitch richmond and clyde drexler. major free agents will come join a dwade type, nobody coming to join joe johnson lite.

it will establish what hoiberg is as a coach, as they were successfully able to hide his 1st year failure under a jimmy vs rose situation, if he sucks next year, you can forget going after any major free agent, or even mid tier free agent unless you fire hoiberg, which we know jerry not trying to eat up that money

at this point i just want this franchise to pick a damn lane and go hard in that lane

if we are going to rebuild, move jimmy and lets start over like miles jaye

if we are going to compete then go hard and get another star talent here with some quality role players better than what the hell we have

right now, we seem to be the only franchise building for the 8th seed. smh

I think Ish Smith is a much better PG than E'Twaun, but I'm guess Moore will get more. And I wanted Lin.

ish's inability to shoot hurts him, but hes a good playmaker

I think the plan in their heads is this right now:

let the young guys play this season as much as possible and get development there. hopefully with Jimmy taking another step and young guys stepping up, they maintain their identity as a 'solid' team to sell to FAs with 70 mil or whatever in capspace

if the team doesnt win enough to keep the illusion of being 'solid', then you get like a top 6ish pick in a loaded draft and can still be aggressive with that 70 mil




they should be looking to trade Niko right NOW IMO - hes going to be an UFA and someone will probably offer him a stupid high deal next summer regardless how he plays this season. Even if he had a strong season, I dont know if I want to pay dude something crazy high

should be looking to move Taj too, I doubt hes in long term plan past next season - let Bobby play as much as possible

hoiberg benching noah really helped noah more than hurt him in the long run

gave this false narrative that it was the bulls that hurt noah. only us who been watching witnessed his digression.

noah is a good guy to have for a strong locker room presence, but im content with the bulls letting him go get his money, and us not being the ones to give it to him. and noah at the age had to get that kind of deal, not mad at him.

what is a little shocking is al jefferson only getting that much. i would have feel back, let dwight, al horford noah and whiteside get scooped up, then come in next week and the team that loses out on them might have given jefferson twice as much.

He had 1 dunk in 66 games last year (unless I'm missing something) and 5 dunks in 51 games 2 years ago.

How many dunks yal think he's going to throw down in NYC?

wouldnt say they did him dirty ... they didnt send him to Utah man, sent him to the biggest city in the world to play with Melo/Zingis in the Garden ... not like they didnt have to put the franchise on hold for his injuries either
