Just thinking a bit ahead to next season and what this team may need

I think its important to cut the dead weight of Pau, Brooks, Snell, and Duns. That will pretty much leave Derrick, Jimmy, Taj, Noah and the younger guys

The offense needs to improve and flow better, and I will put that squarely on Fred to construct, and have his players implement. Look, thats exactly what he came to this team to do. If hes going to be soft like this, he better damn sure have this offense in the top 10-15 in Off Rtg & Pace. If he is unable to accomplish that straight forward task next season, he absolutely needs to be fired

Bring in an established, veteran coach to put on Fred's bench. Get him an assistant with some HC experience that the players will respect and listen to. Locker room clearly went off the rails a bit this season, if Fred can't hold people accountable, bring someone to sit next to him that can (ideally with a defensive background)

I'd consider bringing back Joakim. I think the biggest statement Fred could make as a coach would be to give Joakim his starting role back, and task him to bring back a defensive identity back to this team. We saw how bad the defense got. No communication on rotations, poor pick and roll defense, and lack of resistance at the rim. Noah pretty much helps to clean all that up, along with the defensive rebounding we SORELY missed. He can get guys to buy back in defensively and bring that life back to that side of the ball.

If Fred wants to only play him 25 minutes, maybe 30. Thats perfect, helps preserve him, but it also lets Fred have ample time to run lineups he may prefer for his offense.

If you can also pair Noah in the starting lineup with a 2 way forward like a Batum, defense could really make a big turnaround

I just really hope Fred and the front office see the need to regain a sense of defense. We cant let it slip like this. No team can be successful deep in the playoffs without a defense you can trust

jimmys post game comments epitomises the issue between these 2

we are about to see the most disappointing year in this franchises history and jimmy still taking shots ..

if he wants 2 be a leader for this team he needs to work on his side/slick comments 2 his 'own' team mates - i mean he kan complain about bein asked those questions but when you constantly say shxt like this is anyone surprised , does it help your relationship with your team mates...:yeshrug:

:scust::usure::wtb::sas2::snoop:

on another note if jimmy gonna persist with vein this ball handler and his ISO plays ..derrick needs to start learning how to move without the ball

coz like other posters in here even against the cave it seem like he just doesn't know what to do if the ball isn't in his hands

that or he don't give a f if he doesn't have it :francis:, this guy won't move he just sits there in 1 spot waiting for the rock to come back :usure:... i was a 'ball heavy player 'in my day and i understand it can take some time to get used 2 how be integrated into a offence without the ball but cmon ..show some movement or interest in actually making a play to get open :manny:

+ on another note i kant get a shout for the off season thread title cmon OP

I'm saying tho....we really didn't have to win last night, there are at least 3 spots we could've gained by losing out. :martin:

@cornercommission2k12

Here's your two way player we need

Timothe Luwawu.... Im sold on dude, check him out

@Lee check him out too

Yeah, thats definitely the sort of player we need and he was on my radar as I was looking up Isaia Cordinier too. I would put Timothe ahead Isaia, but they are both french wings that are athletic, with a high motor..

I'm looking for more activity...I'm tired of running soft white boys out on the court and getting out hustled...
