Jimmy needs to concede that role to Rose and that's where we are at it is a power struggle.

I guess the hope is that he regains that next season, from day 1

Problem is, he has allowed 'leader' Jimmy to emerge and take the ball out of his hands

It's just a weird dynamic now and I don't think he cares to be apart of it much longer

This whole insistence on Jimmy becoming a primary ball handler had to fukk with him

I don't think anyone would have a problem with Rose coming out and saying 'I need the ball in my hands to be the PG this team needs.'

It's exactly what I'm wishing he would say. Whether it was intentional or not, Jimmy stepped on dudes toes heavy

He just seemed to check out, keep building on a personal level and let Jimmy, for lack of better word, embarrass himself with this leader/PG shyt

Derricks best stretch was with Jimmy out, when Jimmy came back he took a step back

These guys need to figure it out man
That's on Fred.

Why would you want Jimmy fukking Butler running point when you have Derrick Rose on the roster? It's an asinine thought... but like you said, WTF would Rose just let that shyt fly?

:heh: could you imagine the media backlash if rose came out and said those kind of comments now?!

I'm the best player in the league? I'll die on the court? Why can't I be MVP? I would love to see the reactions to that one lol

As I stated before, it was a lose lose in the jimmy situation. He buys into the "jimmy is the guy" thing and falls back, he gets accused of being disengaged and uninterested in the team, if he continued to try and take over, he gets accused of being selfish and not wanting to step to the side to allow the presumed "best bulls player" shine. He took the humble route, you all saying he checked out, proving it was no win in it.

What I would like is a offense implemented that teaches rose and jimmy how to play off each other and it's not isolated to 1 guy having to score at a time in a sense but players always in good position with great ball movement so that everyone gets theirs. Issue with our offense is that ball movement without the ball absolutely sucked under hoiberg. That needs to get fixed.
I mean, it appeared like he checked out by just watching his body language. I'm telling you, some of these games there were situations where guys needed an outlet to pass to, and Rose would be the closest guy and he wouldn't even be trying to come get the fukking ball.

If rose said that, media gets after him and makes it looks like direct shots at jimmy and the rose vs jimmy narrative blows back up.

I get where yall are coming from, but I have watched the comments get twisted and over analyzed by this city all season, everything means something negative etc.

My thing is, the single 1 thing that changed, was the choice to go from thibs to fred, and that is the single 1 thing that needs to be highlighted when measuring success and failures with this team. Jimmy was a all star last season too, and we landed top 3 in the east and made the 2nd rd. Front office failed to build on that. It's kinda that simple for me.

It is on Fred, but it's also well confirmed that Jimmy took it upon himself to supplant Fred and call the shots.

I mean are you guys aware of what Jimmy said after that Bucks win earlier this month?

"Give me the ball, and get the fukk out the way"

Dude actually said this shyt :mjlol:

Also... @cornercommission2k12

Just look at his comments lately, no he doesn't have to say he's the best player anymore, but we've recently heard him say, that he just wants to get back with the team and not fukk the game up... after only missing like 2 games. Something is def up with him. Sounds like he's not all the way there, and isn't buying into what the team is selling anymore.

I agree with what youre saying but I don't think DRose gives two shyts about what the media says, and I don't think it affects the things he says. So the talk of how the media would react doesn't factor in here for me

Rose and Butler need to learn how to play together, hopefully Jimmy was serious about getting together this summer

And it is completely on Fred to make this work. If Fred had any sense, he would ask JB/DRose to come together, with him, this summer for a week and work out and help him structure an offense that plays to their talents

He let Jimmy walk all over him this season, and he needs to take the team back if he's going to be a successful coach for us

Will be livid if they still can't co-exist next season(that is if Jimmy is here :mjpls:). I think I've seen more on-court chemistry between Derrick and Pau than I have with him and Jimmy, the shyt is unbelievable.

Whole team has been doing a lot of talking with hardly anything to show for it. Jimmy wants to train with Derrick over the offseason? Cool. They gotta prove they can play together though, because right now I'm just not seeing it.

Jimmy recently said that in the bucks game too. Crazy. But because of rose demeanor he can come in and do that. Before it didn't happen because rose was clearly carrying the squad, now he contributes but can't carry so it's a void.

I don't think Rose and Jimmy have any personal beef

but I gotta believe Rose feels a certain way about Jimmy hyping himself as a point guard and his play to become the team leader.

I do like that Jimmy wants to be the leader, we need that, just the timing and the way he went about it wasnt the best

Calling out a rookie coach two months in and high jacking the offense..... Smh..

Here are some quick take aways from Mike McGraw's(prob the more level headed Bulls beat guy) AMA on reddit:

Don't expect GarPax or Hoiberg to be gone

There won't be a a team blow up this summer. They are re tooling

Explicitly states the main goal on the Bulls is to fill the stadium and make $$ (but also says this is true of any team) :smh:

Front office knows there is a lack of athleticism on this roster

They want to resign Moore, but probably wont match if a team offers him something crazy

Teammates were frustrated with Paus defense (I thought that was interesting for someone to finally say it)

Teammates were off-put by Jimmy's leadership tactics, but since hes the hardest working guy on the team, not much they can say about it

Doesn't think Jimmy changed as much as people are saying, hes just figuring out how to be the man

Bulls will of course reach out to all the top FA's this summer (KD, Whiteside, Batum, Horford, Barnes, etc)

Keep an eye out for a Horford/Noah reunion

Basically gives Fred a pass for this season and says judge him off next season
