I would actually go for Jerami Grant to play with his brother. It'll only further help our chemistry, and he's an athletic wing that's going to play some defense.

And if we were still in the "old nba" aka before tv deal cap space explosion, everything you saying would make sense. Even if you told me we locked in to sign a mike conley and a biyombo and needed to move rose to open more cap, then although the love there for rose I would understand fully because of the rose injury history etc
Issue I have is we in the "new nba" post major tv deal money where we can't be the only ones with 30 mill to offer someone and superstars and all stars have 8-10 solid options in free agency. With how toxic our rep is, no one is coming to join this squad better than rose. He was on his last year, you could have started the moving on from rose process then, except you have the 60 mill in cap after rose and taj gone
Instead you added lopez to the cap, and we are going to likely be a mediocre team missing the playoffs making it harder to attract free agents. Adding Lopez is locking us more into this roster. That makes absolutely no sense at all.
Lopez acquisition is a lil odd .. but then again we had no center and he solves that at least. Had to match up salaries somehow I guess, but it feels like they WANT to be a middle of the road team
Id rather blow it all up than be an 8 seed the next 3 seasons and I dont even think we're good enough to be an 8 seed
Unless they luck up in FA and pick up someone like Batum ?
Either way Lopez is on a good deal and should be easy to flip if needed

Yea I would feel better about the lopez addition if you telling me, we know noah and pau is gone, he a decent center on a good deal BUT we plan on dumping dunleavy, snell, brooks, to get over 30 mill in cap and we about to add a batum and a couple other decent role players this off season. That I can get with. If you were telling me mike conley is saying he wants to join jimmy, although I feel a healthy rose better than conley, I could accept the rose history in the equation and take on conley instead
But these clowns talking having space next season, so once again they going carrot in front of the donkey and got fans "hoping" for the future.
Except this time, anyone with a little insight can clearly see, nobody is coming to this bulls squad. The opportunity to use rose one way or the other (resign or walk/cap space) we just handed that over to the knicks, and we took their place as the mediocre team with 1 star and a dim future who will be laughed at in free agency next season. Smh. We just swapped futures with the knicks
