Forgot about Blatt. Maybe he can be tucked into an assistant role. Though locker room issues from before probably will moot that idea.

IDK how they plan on restructuring the coaching staff, or if they even keep their word on it. I think that could have the biggest jump next to the roster. Seems like the coaching was nonexistent on all fronts.

And honestly I worry about that more so than the roster.

Honestly, the person they really need is the person they have major bad blood with.

The better thibs: Jeff van gundy.

Dude coaches hell of defense. And he knows how to motivate his players to give max effort. Thibs is his understudy.

Sadly that will never happen

I would suggest adding a motivational guy like mark Jackson to the bench as a assistant, simply to connect with players and get them to give max effort. Will he come down from television to do that I don't know but it's worth a shot.

I'm late on this, but I wanted to ask. For those that are hopeful for our backcourt, what's the best case scenario for their level of play together? I thought once Rose started to find his way around december, things were about as good as they would get. Jimmy was in "PG mode" :lolbron: , but Rose was still able to find his spots and score efficiently.

I envision them both becoming a better lowry and Derozan type of back court but a better offense has to be implemented thst moves the ball quicker and has players moving better off the ball, more picks to get rose and jimmy open etc. Right now it's just jimmy or rose giving up the ball and getting out the way, or trying to play through pau but he is about to be gone and with no movement off the ball even playing through the big is bad. Offense can't be 25 - 27th in the league if we hope for rose and jimmy to be better.

But at this point, there are no better options available, so we have to make those 2 work. And I think they can work.
