It actually doesn't make sense to me the way you talk about it, because when it was time to award the Spurs the executive of the year award, they didn't select the VP of basketball operations, they didn't select even the president of basketball operations, they selected RC Buford, who was the general manager. And then two years later when they were awarded the executive of the year award again, they gave it to RC Buford, again.
you keep using this unique example where the Coach was the VP of OPs, everyone knows the exec making roster decisions was RC - the aeard
I dont even care to argue about this anymore, I know 100x more about the Bulls org, what else can I say to explain this differently? I also just gave you an example where the VP of OPs (Frank for Clippers) won the award instead of the GM. Why would they give the award to the guy reporting to AK? AK hired Marc
AK is the final decision maker. He is the key figure talking about the roster decisions to the media. He leads all press conferences about players acquisitions. He was literally brought here to be our top executive
Eversly has been GREAT and played a key role getting Demar here. He will also likely get hired away to a new team in the next couple years to have the title Arturas has with the Bulls (VP of Basketball OPs). He deserves a ton of credit himself and I hope we can keep him, but with the teams success Im sure he will be offered the top role somewhere else in short order
I would be shocked if Eversly got the award over the guy he is reporting into. Its not like Arturas is just some figurehead, he is making decisions and has final say on all personnel moves.
