I don't believe in Souls. It was meant to be taken metaphorically, kind of like the bible is a metaphor for bullshyt

I don't know what a 'soul' is, nor is that a big issue for me. I do know, however, that many people believe in something they describe as one. Doesn't interfere with my life at all.

I don't judge people for their beliefs. I judge them by their actions. If they interact with me and are friendly, I don't give a flying fukk.

I have to deal with a family FULL of Born-Again Christians and it took 20 years for me to come to my current understanding of their beliefs even though I've known them my entire life.

Also, it is impossible to understand the contents of the Bible @ 9 years of age.

I'll ask you again. Do most practicing Christians believe the following:

1- Jesus is God in the flesh?
2- Jesus was born to Mary, a human woman?
3- Jesus died for our sins?
4- Jesus knew he was going to be betrayed and sacrificed?

YES or NO?

I'm absolutely confused as to why this post was replied to with "read the book."

He managed to derail another thread critical of Christians and Christian oppressors. Like clockwork.

Dude, I had to correct a couple 'Christians' in a thread about infant baptisms. They are probably still arguing.

I know the subject of Christianity VERY well and am not against having a constructive dialogue about it.

Those, however, are few and far between.

no way….there are christians who don't actually understand what they practice (I'd love to see that conversation by the way….I've had an issue with this before)

He's purposefully being deceitful as to not answer the question. He knows what the answers are and by confirming it to be true, his argument and charges of bigotry are exposed as the bullshyt they are.

No, I'm purposefully making you read the book. I read it over a month ago. Real eye-opener. I'm reading this, now.....

Chris B. is one of them. Can't remember the other one. I unsubscribed the thread after neither of them would read the evidence which refuted their opinion.

either way, back to the original story. I love it.

I honestly can't wait until there is another dominant religious group, which doesn't have judeo-christian ties

If they go through with plans for taxing churches, the next dominant religious group will undoubtedly be judeo-christian.

Instead of thousands of individual churches, there'll be a few gigantic ones with millions of members.

Then again, maybe not. With the birth-rate of Muslims as a factor, we may all be worshipping Allah.

Either way, I'll be long dead before that happens.......I hope......:sadcam:
