Your statement is born of ignorance and this isn't a revision since it pre-dates ALL forms of Christianity.

The first people to believe in J's 'divinity' were Hebrews and they had good reason since their texts supported it.

Continue parroting bigoted, biased, uneducated criticisms of things you don't understand.

Is Jesus God according to most of the forms Christianity practiced today?

Simple question.

Most major forms, yes, and the book explains why.

Then what the fukk is the problem? My statement stands:

Well see, Jesus is god. God, the most powerful being in the universe decided to impregnate a human woman with himself in the human form so he could eventually let himself be killed in order to save humans from himself.

That's much MORE believable.

Most Christians believe this. My reply was in direct reference to the lady who made an argument against Buddhism based on lack of reality (surviving without food/water). She believes in a "major form" of Christianity. The fact that you believe in some minor sect of Christianity, ancient or not, doesn't make my argument any less valid. She is displaying massive cognitive dissonance, and worst of all, her hypocritical actions are unconstitutional and are affecting secular society.

So please move on. You are trying to alter the direction of this thread because the premise makes you uncomfortable.

Your statement is just as ignorant as those who you think believe what you posted is an accurate representation of what transpired. YOU are displaying the same cognitive dissonance as that stupid 'educator'.

Your argument IS invalid since it is not supported by the text or anyone conversant with Christian doctrine.

Stop being ignorant and implying that I'm a theist. YOU are a theist. I study religion.

Get it right and stop letting your self-hate override your intellect.

It isn't ignorant at all because I was addresing the poeple who believe in the "inaccurate" representation. You proved that point for me earlier on when you said "major forms" of Christianity believe that.

YOU are displaying the same cognitive dissonance as that stupid 'educator'.

How so?

Your argument IS invalid since it is not supported by the text or anyone conversant with Christian doctrine.

False. No True Scotsman fallacy and historical/theological revision.

Stop being ignorant and implying that I'm a theist. YOU are a theist. I study religion.

You don't study religion, you push Christianity using revisionist biased sources and using the No True Scotsman fallacy.

Stop trying to derail the thread.

Those 'major forms' do not believe what you stated is accurate. Not even 'ignorant' followers believe it.

Nowhere in the text is what you stated found and I know of no religious organizations (or individuals) that believe it.

How could it be a 'historical revision' if it pre-dates and is the foundation of ALL Christian doctrine? That's retarded. ALL Christians believe J was 'divine'. Not all Christians believe J was, in fact, the 'Creator'. Your attempt to use the 'No True Scotsman' fallacy on my argument is invalid. Talk to a Jehovah's Witness or a Mormon.

I study religion to understand people in my immediate family as I've stated on numerous occasions. The book I linked is by a Jew who believed Christianity was heretical. Explain how it is biased towards Christianity? I'll wait.

Read the book.

No, I'm not talking to a book. I'm talking to you. Seems like a cop out.

I see your little game on here. You post links to books on this subject. You present yourself as unbiased, academic-minded person when you are using revision and historical Jesus to push and defend Christianity. You always defer questions like these. There is a pattern of this.

I'll ask you again. Do most practicing Christians believe the following:

1- Jesus is God in the flesh?
2- Jesus was born to Mary, a human woman?
3- Jesus died for our sins?
4- Jesus knew he was going to be betrayed and sacrificed?

How about you answer the questions.

.

You're not talking. You're attempting to 'badger' me. Read the book which was written by a Jew who thought Christianity was heretical and find out what most Christians actually believe and why they believe it.
