The sexist undertones in this post. SMH.

First of all,I'm a huge WNBA fan.In no way was I trying to disrespect or diminish Becky Hammon as a player, coach or person....The WNBA needs Hammon more than the NBA..The amount of low-quality coaches in the WNBA is embarrassing. When the Spurs made the announcement that Hammon would be an assistant coach,I was pissed off.Not because I thought Hammon would be an incompetent coach. But because the WNBA lost another potentially great HC...The WNBA has so many mediocre HC's at this point that it's hurting player development.

This. Breh, the insecurity in this thread is next level... all over an INTERVIEW in which they already came out and said shes not even a front runner.

:heh:Its basketball. All she gotta do is run good plays and have good interpersonal skills and she will be respected. Its not that serious. You got tiny, frail ,old, effeminate, pencil-neck cacs leading rosters full of 6'8 black men for decades and no one says a word. Let one have a vagina and dudes in here hyperventilating:pachaha:

On top of that they legit not giving these players credit... These dudes legit think she is just gettingf coffee and donuts with the Spurs.

I think another thing it would astound many in this thread that NBA players largely think of WNBA players as peers.

I dont see anything wrong with her getting a job except maybe the lack of experience. Whether its man or woman I think it's good to be a top assistant before becoming a HC. And that doesn't mean it can't be a quick come up, look at Luke. Went from new guy to top assistant with the W's to HC of the Lakers in no time.

that's an extreme example, but the point remains. aggressive behaviour, whether physical or mental, will look worse with a female coach than a male. especially a white female coach with a black player
If a player does that to any coach, they would be in a lot of trouble. And deservedly so.

The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
Took Patrick Ewing how long to even get an interview yet nikkas are happy with this cac dyke 4th tier assistant potentially becoming a head coach?

And women (especially white) make horrific leaders in all walks of life. I've worked for 2 early in the early stages my career. Leadership skills are non existent. Even women hate being led by women.

So I guess male coaches in women's sports... especially at the young levels...are teaching these girls how to be women as well as hoop? :swaggywhat: :mjlol:

FOH :camby:

Nope... what they are instilling is discipline and work ethic that a man has to have to be successful.... women can't convey it on the same level because its not really required to the same degree for them to be successful in society...... its true.... may change in 100 years... but right now... its dead accurate

Look at it this way... I know women are just now entering this arena... but sports is competition...... no one competes like men... so no one can convey what it takes to win... like men...

You do realize the Bucks are interviewing like 15 people, right?

Yes...and I find it sad how Patrick Ewing wasn't given a chance to be a HC after being an Asst for 4 different teams over the course of 15 seasons.....I just think it's a little too soon for Hammon.

Hammon coaching experience is in the NBA not the WNBA. Why she needs to go there first when gaining experience already in the NBA. That makes zero sense.

and :mjlol: at I'm huge WNBA fan, therefore, I'm not a sexist. Equalivent of racist saying I have black friends too. :camby:
