Hammon coaching experience is in the NBA not the WNBA. Why she needs to go there first when gaining experience already in the NBA. That makes zero sense.

and at I'm huge WNBA fan, therefore, I'm not a sexist. Equalivent of racist saying I have black friends too.

Hammon still doesn't have enough Experience ...4 years as the 4th or 5th assistant...That's a very light resume IMO.

And women (especially white) make horrific leaders in all walks of life. I've worked for 2 early in the early stages my career. Leadership skills are non existent. Even women hate being led by women.

He got interviews but more out of courtesy than anything. I don't think he interviews well. Even when he's sitting among his peers, he just sticks out. He doesn't exude confidence when he speaks. A team is just gonna have to say eff it, and let him on the floor where he's more comfortable.

And women hate being led by women more out of ego. Women personalities,, especially strong ones, will always clash. That's just the nature of it. But women making horrible leaders in all walks of life, that's just false. There aren't women principals, teachers, single parents, managers supervisors? There are a lot of fields in which women simply dominate - education for one, human services, even the business world. They may not dominate in that top CEO position, but almost everything under it is filled with women. The number of men entering the corporate world has diminished.

Ill admit it. Ive been called sexist before. Its not that i think women are inferior or unequal. But I do believe in gender roles in the sense I think some genders are better suited for certain roles. To deny that would be to deny that man and women are different creatures. That said, i dont see why a women with basketball knowledge wouldnt have the capacity to coach. I do understand the concerns though. Guess we'll see.

She honestly shouldn’t even be getting considered ... that’s the problem ... I think she should be considered at some point but not now. And the optics of Geno yelling at an 18 year old freshman young woman is totally different from a black , 6’10” pf aggressively arguing face to face with Becky .

Wish black men didn’t have to be concerned with those optics and I struggle with whether black men SHOULD be concerned with it , but society unfortunately won’t allow for blind ignorance ... especially in this new “I’m Offended” era ...

On the flip , I doubt you’d see many flare ups like that because women usually have more of a calming effect on men and can diffuse shyt better and can build up strong rapport equity as only a woman can do (and it seems as if she’s been able to do that) ... and I’m sure Becky would go to bat for her players if — and when — the media blows up an in-game argument situation.

As with ALL good Head coaches, tho, she’d need a really solid top assistant .

But Basketball is really the ONLY sport in the Big 4 (NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA) where a woman HC could be successful .

And outside of that , maybe professional soccer. I’d like to see it in my lifetime . I just don’t feel like the timing is right for her right now. Good on her if she gets it.

Yeah but I ain't in a competitive or stressful atmospheres with them breh. If you been around women, stressful situations can bring that heightened irrational emotion can ruin alot of things
