AJ was behind Christian too. Remember the Christian Coalition? I guess I watched a different TNA. The TNA I saw had guys like AJ take a backseat whenever someone new showed up. Remember the RVD match
Christian was only there for 2-3 years

There is a lot of revisionist history when it comes to TNA on this board.
:mjlol: There’s no revisionist history on shyt when it comes to me & TNA

AJ was propped up as the face/future of TNA since the debut and was a world champion before they even debuted on Spike.

Christian was there for 2-3 years. AJ played the back to him & Angle during their feud but AJ was there from 02-2014 so you tell me how Christian was more a face of the company than AJ. How many Bound For Glorys did Christian main event vs AJ?

Well my point was that Danielson had his own era in ROH and it was built around him after Joe and Punk left. AJ didn’t have that in TNA. He lead the TNA frontline to get their ass kicked by main event mafia. That’s about it lol. So even if AJ had an era he couldn’t touch Danielson

TSC went on a huge tangent claiming AJ Styles was better than Bryan for awhile but got their mind right after the recent Bryan heel turn. Aj Styles was never, ever better than Danielson..period. Styles can be fluid and does great spots but Bryan carried too many type of styles and workers...not even a real comparison. Bryan has great comebacks as a face...really one of a kind...a true all time stand out since Eddie Guerrero passed away.

I don’t wanna turn this into the shyt on AJ thread. We all fully embrace his talent. I don’t think anyone on this site dislikes AJ, even though he’s low key a bible thumping hick. He’s still one of the best ever and one of my favorite ever

but I think their impacts on pro wrestling aren’t even close. Bryan and Punk pretty much changed what a main eventer looked like in WWE. If not for their runs, I’m not sure AJ even gets a main event run.

in ring they’re both god tier in my eyes, but as far as popularity and impact it’s not even close. At Bryan’s height he legitimately crossed over to mainstream. Was selling the most merch in the company, had his yes chant become a pop culture phenomenon. AJ never had a moment like that..

And to top it off, Bryan - the most beloved man on the roster, was able to completely reinvent himself as a heel and managed to get legit heat.

AJ is great. He’s one of the best ever.. but Bryan is 1 of 1

“Booker of the year”

ive been thinking that too. I thought she was being built up nicely and then suddenly she disappeared :gucci:

as far as AJ vs Dbry

dbry is better but it’s not like AJ is a scrub.

dbry had the best peak with WWE

I was more talking about TNA in general than this specific instance.

Supposedly, they changed plans and now want to debut him at All Out :bryan:

Exclusive: Bryan Danielson Set To Make His AEW Debut At All Out
Back on July 21st, I had reported that former WWE Superstar Daniel Bryan, once again going by his name Bryan Danielson, had signed with AEW.

I also reported that Danielson had asked for fewer dates and comparable money, the ability to work in Japan, and creative input, which he got. Additionally, I had originally stated that the plan was for Danielson to make his AEW debut at Arthur Ashe Stadium in New York City, on the September 22nd episode of Dynamite. However, with the signing of Punk they were looking at possible ways to capitalize and maximize the buzz around the new developmentments. Which, now it appears that plans have changed.

After speaking with multiple sources within AEW, I can now confirm that the company has upped plans for Bryan Danielson’s debut. The new plan I was told is for Danielson to debut at AEW’s All Out PPV on September 5th, 2021. I had initially heard this rumor a couple weeks back, but was able to confirm the plan with multiple sources.

I was also told that the decision was made after concern continued to grow internally over covid-19, as mandates and restrictions have tighten in New York. So unless the decide to push the debut even further to TNT, it looks as though Danielson’s debut is a lock for Chicago.

AEW heads to Chicago with Wednesday episode of Dynamite, and again for Friday’s Rampage, all leading to Sunday’s huge All Out PPV which is already set to see CM Punk return to the ring for the first time in over seven years.

Not that Alvarez is to be trusted with this shyt, but he's saying the same :yeshrug:

Welcome to the team. Expect your first Khan check in a few weeks :wow:

I'm surprised they are hotshotting this (If it's true). The New York show was the perfect time to get another monster reaction. I guess he's getting antsy to kick Marko Stunt in the head.

Unfortunately with Ronamania pulling its creative control card, might make sense to do it now to guarantee he debuts in front of a packed house.

I hope the crowd lets this happen organically. The way they called for Punk was cool and made it an all time moment, but that should be a once in a lifetime thing

agreed, but that's an AEW thing more than a crowd thing. AEW did everything but straight up advertise Punk. if they kept this a secret (train already left the station) or make the moment a surprise, we might get that cool organic reaction for DB

and I just bought my ticket last night:francis:
