Uncertain grounds
AJ took over after D Brys retirement as the top in ring guy. There’s a reason he was over as fukk coming into WWE without even stepping foot there before.

It’s an interesting argument though and one could definitely say that AJ signing to AEW would be just as big a deal as Bryan or Punk.

Nah to the latter

AJ is a great worker but he doesnt have the charisma of Punk or Bryan

What happened to AJ when Daniel Bryan came back?

After Spike, TNA was built around JJ or Kurt. Was AJ champ longer in WWE or TNA?
:dwillhuh: AJ has been in most of the big storylines in tna. TNA was really built around the X division. With AJ being really the first to be more than just the x division. AJ whole TNA is up there with his WWE run...that’s how big AJ was in tna he came to wwe and was instantly a top guy.

DB vs AJ is definitely a legit argument.

I think DB wins that argument decisively but it's not like the other side doesn't have enough to win it too. I'm also fairly ignorant on AJ's time in TNA and that's like half of his case :yeshrug:

They were equally popular.

AJ was the only guy the fans wouldn’t boo for DB which is why he used AJ to do his heel turn on :dahell:

AJ has been in the mid card ever since and Bryan headlined Mania twice. Bryan at his peak literally changed wrestling, but even when they had the feud in 2017, Bryan was still more popular.

Post Bound For Glory 06 TNA was never even close to being based around JJ. You
Wilding breh.

AJ was behind Christian too. Remember the Christian Coalition? I guess I watched a different TNA. The TNA I saw had guys like AJ take a backseat whenever someone new showed up. Remember the RVD match

There is a lot of revisionist history when it comes to TNA on this board.
