Oh what movies?
Since the scandal that happened in 2009 he has been in:
Edge of Darkness
The Beaver
Get the Gringo
Machete Kills
Expendables 3
Blood Father
Daddy'Home 2
Dragged Across Concrete
The Professor and the Madman
Boss Level
Force of Nature
Fatman
Dangerous
Last Looks

Are these A list movies? Are they even B? Besides Expendables, Machete Kills and Daddy's Home 2 I never even heard of any of these. lol
So yeah, he is severely diminished.
you forgot the Oscar Winning movie he directed in 2016 (Hacksaw Ridge)
6 nominations including Best Director and Best Picture

He's still working though. A lot of similar aging big actors are in the same boat making smaller direct to streaming stuff (Bruce Willis, John Cusack, John Travolta, etc.) and they don't have Gibson's history.
OK, so they can just stop hiring Will as much when he hits his 60s a few years from now to and it won't have anything to do with the slap? Would that be acceptable or nah? :jbhmm:

Will slapping Chris was wrong IMO but it's not comparable to Gibson's history of racism and threatening to kill his ex-wife.

Yeah, not comparing their deeds just the effect of the deeds on their respective careers. Will if anything lost some of his audience. He is a slightly less bankable star. And that's going to hurt him getting work going forward. Plus he is already in his 50s. He will still work but at a slightly less caliber/prestige.

He might take a little image tarnishing but he'll be alright I think. Hollywood can try to act like they are outraged all day but at the end of the day all they really care is about money and Will makes them money. All he's gotta do is check into one of those Hollywood celeb wellness centers, get therapy and work on anger management, come back, maybe do some kind of public burying the hatchet with Chris and then make Bad Boys 4 and he'll be alright.

The fact that yall are even comparing Will Smith to Mel fukking Gibson is crazy :heh:

just goes to show its alot of c00ns on this site…or cacs pretending to be black
The first person to compared Mel Gibson was trying to defend Will. lol

Stfu cac.
If fukken Mel Gibson can still have a career so can Will Smith. Acting like the academy is filled with angels.

And you called him a c00n. This shyt is getting too complicated for you maybe? :francis:

Reminded me of the scene in Something About Mary when that cop starts beating the shyt out of Ben Stiller's character in the interrogation room and the other cop ask the cop beating up Ben if he was okay :russ:

Grown men are expected to be in control of their emotions because violence when you are an adult is a crime. I thought everyone knew this? lol

If Chris wanted to he could have dude arrested. He's lucky he didn't carry it like that.

Violence when you are a child is assault as well. There's no age limit on it. You can press charges on an 11 year old that hit you. And that "being in charge of you emotions" as an adult is BS as well. I'm sure you've heard foul ish spewed, including death threats in a heated argument. Couples do it all of the time "fukk you b!tch I'll kill you..." Hell, siblings do it. That's a crime as well. All of those "If something happens to my child/spouse/mother I'm gonna go kill the person that did it."

I always say, it's not what's done or said, it's who does it.

Yeah, it happens but no it's not right. People lie, steal, cheat, Kill every day and it's all wrong despite being typical in human behavior. So when someone engages in it we call it bad behavior.

The 'discourse' surrounding this is so tiring and stupid and it hasn't even been 48 hours yet. :snoop:

  1. Alopecia is not that fukking serious. Every black person who ever had braids for an extended period of time has some form of it. Hell, anybody who ever had a ponytail tied too tight has some form of it.
  2. Jada Pinkett is not a private citizen and is not off limits to jokes. If Chris had said something about Denzel or Samuel L.'s wives he would have deserved every bit of that slap and more.
  3. There will no major fallout from the Academy beyond some fake outrage and handwringing over 'decorum.' The Oscars haven't been relevant in years, and they will bask in any bit of publicity they get. Would anybody honestly still be talking about this year's awards if not for this? :comeon:
  4. I sincerely doubt Will Smith will be getting blackballed and if anything he'll get a career resurgence because he can finally stop Oscar chasing now.
