If fukken Mel Gibson can still have a career so can Will Smith. Acting like the academy is filled with angels.
Mel Gibson's career has been severely cripled since his scandal. Sure he still makes movies but really they are just the roles he can get. Prior he could make Oscar bait movies and had his pick of roles.

Additionally, this clown lacks reading comprehension skills. I never said anything about Will not having a career after this. I said that his Oscar win will forever be tainted, which it will be. And I guarantee Will is thinking about that now.

He was nominated for best director for Hacksaw Ridge not that long ago. But yes he's mostly resorted to small movies no one really knows about.

If he would've slap a LBGT white or black person, or white person, then the career talk would be on the table. I see quite a few black women are applauding Will for what he did but those same black women would be singing a different tune if a white actress had walk onto stage and slapped Tiffany Haddish.

Question: When did everyone become so non-violent? Y'all were ready for war a year ago, ready to smack someone that looked at you wrong, condemning all peaceful solutions, but now it's all peace and everyone MLK? People get smack for less...in any location. It was obviously a spur of the moment, emotions running high, last straw type of thing...but y'all be acting like it was personal that could've been handled at a later time, when a lot of people don't walk away from ish. No one was hurt...embarrassed perhaps, but a a couple of weeks everyone will laugh at the entire thing.

Secondly, as for saying he only did it because it was Chris Rock, that's false. Will used to get into fights all of the time. He used to get into fights at every single city on tour, with fans, promoters...he & Charlie even beat up a record exec. But I think at that point, it didn't matter...he was tired of it...the next dude that even remotely said something disrespectful was gettin it. Watch the Drink Champs with Tony Rock, D Dot, Charlie Mack and Ras Kass. They talk about Will a few times. Charlie was like, any drama, he's gonna steal you first. He's been emotional, and lettin out a lot on that book tour...talking about the pressure he's been under and such. That doesn't make it okay, but most people do the same.

But I also wish people stop acting like there's some type of age-limit on men getting in physical altercations. Old men of every profession be getting into it at work....hell, there's 100s videos of government officials fighting during hearings/roundtables etc.

There's talk about taking away his Oscar. Hell of a precedent when Roman Polanski, Woody Allen, Mel Gibson, Casey Affleck, among others still have theirs. Idk if I'd invite him back to the Oscars but they probably will next year when he and Chris present an award together. The Academy said they don't condone violence so they could've escorted him off the property with "You win, but you don't get to do an acceptance speech." He could've caught Chris backstage and had a man to man or made him look like an ass by telling him live that Jada (who isn't the most innocent person in the world) had a condition.

Idk. I think all parties involved look bad. I've said the words 'unfortunate" and "sad" a lot today, but that can't be stated enough. That's what it all boils down too.

They won't take away the Oscar but they only put those laws after the MeToo era.

Severely crippled? He has 7 movies coming out this year and rumored to be in lethal weapon 5.
The only thing stopping him is he is old.

Grown men are expected to be in control of their emotions because violence when you are an adult is a crime. I thought everyone knew this? lol

If Chris wanted to he could have dude arrested. He's lucky he didn't carry it like that.

He's still working though. A lot of similar aging big actors are in the same boat making smaller direct to streaming stuff (Bruce Willis, John Cusack, John Travolta, etc.) and they don't have Gibson's history.
